That Luke song, Lonely Beat Of My Heart, was from his 1st solo album "Lukather" back in 89' I believe....Luke co-wrote this one with Diane Warren, yes THAT Diane Warren, and if you listen closely you can hear Richard Marx in the backing vox....
Ray
That's interesting about Diane Warren...have you all heard the Luke solo album demos? Some 'interesting' songs on there, a totally different vibe.
Lukather, his 1st album, was filled with cameo's by some of LA's finest blue chips, Richard Marx, Eddie Van Halen, Jan Hammer, Steve Stevens, Diane Warren, Jeff Porcaro, Dave Paich (oh, Dave also plays the organ on LBOMH), Carlos Vega, Lenny Castro, Mike Landau, Randy Goodrum, etc...
Huh..??? Luke's solo album demo's..? No, I don't believe I have...have you..?
Do tell!
There's a song called 'If You Break my heart' and 'Twisted' that are really good...Then there's a mediocre duet with an unknown female, a ballad called ' Looking for somebody like you' then there's a demo of Anna and Second Chance..
pm me if interested and I'll see what I can do - cheers
