Since this started as a poll on an Arnel solo album, I just want to ask if anyone has heard any information regarding a new Journey album this year - any news?

From what Arnel has indicated they will be working on a new album in the fall, but I wouldn't expect it to be released until next year. However, Kevin Shirley did say that the DVD would be available "later this year," and I would assume it would be part of the package, so you never know. My guess is both are part of a 2010 package deal similar to the Wal Mart deal last year.

Sorry, no mind altering substances here - just pure exhaustion. They've had a lot of down time, so I hoped they might be working on something as long as it isn't another disc of rerecords. I'm waiting on another solo album from Neal too.

I still haven't purchased Perry's or Augeri's solo albums yet... Arnel's is not on the agenda either.

I'm a Journey fan, and a fan of Steve Perry with Journey - period. I can tolerate Perry-impersonators only because Perry is missing in action, and a Journey with a Perry-emulator is better than no Journey at all in my book. The hits that Journey made with Perry will never be replicated with another singer on a new album.

I agree. I'm happy that Arnel got his big break tho and I hope that it takes him far.

There's no reason that they shouldn't in my opinion. I think that it would make their sales even better.

An email has been sent to Kevin Shirley asking to please preserve the entire Manila set, if in anyway possible. Hope he listens but probably not.

Sounds like a great plan to me. Does anyone know how quickly they could produce that and have it on the market? Their summer tour would be the perfect time to promote it and boost sales, as I do believe that 'Revelation' has run its course.

Yeah. The only "Wal-Mart" deal with this DVD I'd be satisfied with is if it's a DVD/CD double release. If they cut the DVD or CD down to sixty minutes, I'll be irretrievably pissed.
