OT: Man grows tree in his lung

Postby WiseOldTabbyCat » Thu Apr 16, 2009 6:23 am

A PATIENT who had surgery to remove a suspected tumour was told: You had a FIR TREE in your lung.
Medics are convinced Artyom Sidorkin, 28, inhaled a seed which sprouted inside him.
And after opening him up, they found what they described as a perfectly-formed 2in spruce sapling

Trees need carbon dioxide and oxygen and some moisture to grow, the lungs can provide all three. Sunlight is the most essential, I'm interested as to how the tree kicked-off without it.

I call bullshit too, for the simple question of how would photosynthesis take place in a lung. That object looked green(ish) to me, which is of course impossible without chloroplasts, which can only be produced in the presence of sunlight ala the Calvin cycle.

College Bio 102. And again in Organic Chem. This story is crap.

Nevermind the fir tree... click on some of the other links/stories...
There's some funny stuff on there.

I found this one... and I call bullshit also... (unless people are deliberately keeping this from me...)

That's not bullshit, that's cold hard fact. Some women can orgasm during childbirth. I guess it could be actual enjoyment of the pain, the same way as sadists and masochists do.

That reminds me of a documentary I saw last week about women getting cosmetic surgery done on their "lump of chewed bubble gum" because they felt the lips were too big. It was on cable but not a premium pay channel so they didn't show anything. That kinda pissed me off.

Maybe someone outta start a poll on what's better - innies or outies.

I kinda like outies - reminds me of lettuce sticking out of a sandwich.  :P

They should go to Africa, They'll do it for free over there, even sew you back up as a virgin again to boot. A broken Coke bottle and some thread is all that is needed.

I hate that when that happens!

My theory is that the guy got drunk, passed out in the woods, and accidentally inhaled a piece of a pine tree. Since he was passed out, he didn't even know he did it.
