Night Ranger still warmup in Columbus 8/26/09??

Postby carleysdad » Wed Jun 03, 2009 5:56 am

Does anyone know if Night Ranger is still scheduled to be the opening act at the August 26th show in Columbus? When I purchased my tickets the Ticketmaster site showed them as the warmup band. Now there is no mention of them (on Ticketmaster or the Journey site).

They don't have the show listed on Night Ranger's site either so it looks bleak.

Maybe Blades can write a few tunes for them while he's in town.

You can still rock in America?

LOL

I saw them a few weeks ago in Saint Louis... they kicked major ass. Brad Gillis is the shit.

I hope not, because that'd piss me off even more that I have to miss the show.

I know the feeling. I didn't go to that Styx/REO/38 Special concert at Red Rocks that I posted here about.

Oh, man ... you didn't go? Bummer.

Crazy Deb and I are seeing them in Houston on Sunday night ... did ILAA tickets and just got the word that there is a meet and greet with either Styx or REO (they alternate nights & we won't know who til we get there). I'm really, really hoping for Styx so I can say ohmygodyou'resohotiloveyou to Tommy Shaw.

I met Tommy Shaw back in 2004 in Dallas at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival. Tommy Shaw is super-short. I'm 5'-8" and he was way shorter than me. Really nice guy though. He was walking around the merchandise area.

I know, it is a bummer. Everyone online was very encouraging, but everyone around me at home was very discouraging. Should have just listened to you!!

On the bright side, it made me decide to take flying lessons...more to come on that!

It always sucks to miss a show that's completely out of your hands. I couldn't make the Journey show in Cleveland last September either. I'd be more excited for Night Ranger than Journey... they hardly ever come here and they kick ass live. Loud, tons of guitar, good anthems.

I saw them about a year and a half ago in Grapevine with Gayle and Jen. It was a great time. Brad Gillis is incredible.
