I've always liked Europe (the band). I'm sure this album will be great. Start From The Dark kicked ass.

They have a ways to go to beat 'Prisoners in Paradise', and Joey's solo stuff....

I'm disappointed in the first song. It really doesn't have a hook or a big chorus. And that's a shame because I think that musically they had something really strong going. Like Journey, Europe always had a "sing along" chorus and this one just...goes nowhere. I give it a C-.

My thoughts are exactly the same, but the video makes up for part of it...

Well it's a matter of taste and I give it an A. I love the guitar riffs and I LOVE the intro. It just depends on what you look for in a song and I dont' need a chorus.

I like the song, very dark sound, much more modern and cool riffs too...Joey still got the sweet voice!

I liked the song. Europe has always been a favorite of mine. I think I'll add some classic Europe to my ipod. Hey, has anyone else had trouble with You Tube today?

I think that "dark" sound is why I like it so much. I think it has a "feel" to it and I like that feeling it gives me. I LOVE how they have modernized their sound too. They aren't just making a bunch of the same stuff. They are creating new and unique sounds. And the video is just COOL.

I liked it too, considering I haven't checked out any Europe stuff since The Final Countdown days.......was a bit of a shock. :o

It's ok. Not killer....will see.

Their last 2 albums copntained 5 fucking brilliant tracks and 5 fillers. Put the two together for a 12 track-ish mix and it's really compelling listening.

Deb, you NEED to check out their last two albums from the 2000's!! LOL Start From the Dark is AWESOME! I love about every song on that album! So MODERN! And so good! Secret Society has some good songs too, but SFTD has more I like.

Amen.
Sad thing is, not many people in US have heard of it/listened to it ,,,, I bet you of all the MR friends (and enemies) here, there's probably not even a dozen of people that have listened to that CD, which is a shame.....

You are probably right. It was certainly a sharp contrast with the Europe material.

Wow, they must have been drunk when they picked that. Oh well, it's about the music not the cover...right? Here's another track live from LLAE from Sweden Rock, "Gonna Get Ready."
