Oh, believe it. I was around back then, last year. I saw practically every single clip of Arnel from the beginning on. Arnel's site would post new clips of Arnel performing, and I would scroll down and be horrified at some of the things being said about Arnel. Vicious, inciteful and racist stuff. I felt bad for his fans on there. But don't get me wrong, Arnel's so-called fans on YouTube who then retalitated and were saying disgusting things are just as bad and gives Arnel and Filipinos a bad name, just like the So-called Perry fans on these Youtube clips look who are so vile or just plain stupid. But all the crap that was said, to me, aren't the regular fans. You could tell all of them are losers and enjoy what they're doing and saying to get a rise out of the other. They create new accounts and have different names. But just like on here no Perry fan seems to notice the crap that was said about Arnel and only Perry, the same holds true for Arnel's site. They focus on all the stuff that is vicious against Arnel, and not Perry now. And I've said the same thing on Arnel's site as I'm saying here. So I'm the objective one. It's from both sides and I excuse none of those losers. And those Arnel fans aren't off his site. They are very peaceful and kind people on his site. It's the usual internet youtube losers that enjoy the filth they were spewing back and forth. Fortunately, there's normal give and take and comments by all fans in an intelligent manner, too, on YouTube clips. I just don't read any of it anymore.

He, didn't say youtube fans only.. so I was under the impression he meant MR fans... so this is where I went back and looked up past posts.... I don't try to deal with youtube fans because some of them are indeed very nasty mannered people who say some very ugly things about others... Some of the MR fans certainly aren't pollyannas but still there's a level of class about MR members that make their opinions more acceptable and important to the Band...and yes I believe that this site is monitored closely by the band because it is a more creditable source of information and the fans are loyal and truly love Journey come what may.... AP is now a member of Journey and treated as a member by the MR fan base... he will be fussed over and fussed at just like the others are...that's the price of being the lead singer of a much loved band. JMO

Alas it all started here. All of these posts have been deleted now and rightfully so. Any long time member of this board will tell you how bad it was during that time. Much to my disappointment, that went on a tad longer than necessary. If you want to do a little bit of searching, go here:

These nasty things said about Arnel (chink, outsourced, cheap labor, hiding their dogs when Journey tours near them come to mind) did reach the Philippines and I am sure you will understand why a lot of people there are furious.

Ok, I saw a few stupid comments not the all out racial overkill you implied...

That was just the tip of the iceberg. As I said, most of the posts have already been deleted. The journeyforums.com site isn't even online nowadays. I never said anything about the posts being racists. I just posted links, remember? However, at the back of your mind, you thought the posts were racist. .

I didn't fuel the fire. It was already a blaze when I started lurking in MR late 2007.

Don't you think the anger towards AP is irrational? He didn't cause Perry's hip injury, did he? In fact, AP was just living a dream and as what he said, just trying to honor the legacy of Journey.

I'm cool about the people who admitted they were wrong. However, the people who said the worst things never said sorry. Thankfully, most of them are no longer here.

I am not. I am explaining to you why some of Arnel's fans are doing these things. I did say also that I do not agree with what they are doing, but I understand where they are coming from and I am trying to make some of you understand. Also, I would have not posted these things if you are competent in searching I gave you the chance to search it your own, you couldn't so I helped. The only time I posted these links was when you said you couldn't find anything. I wasn't fueling anger, I was just trying to help you understand and well... search.

And not one time have you heard or read where SP said anything negative about AP have you ... and I can bet you none of the AP fans who bash and write negative things about SP have read or heard him say anything negative about AP either.

Have you heard AP say anything bad about SP? In fact, AP has nothing but good words for SP. As for Arnel's fans saying bad things about SP, well, it's tit for tat. I showed you that SP's fans cast the first stone.

I agree. The same way that these people who said nasty things about AP have no right to treat AP that way. If Perry had nothing to do with Journey for over ten years, then AP had absolutely nothing to do with this band for the 34 out of the 36 years of the band's existence.
