Wow! That's an exact copy of mine.

A Journey set list with out Perry?

Why? Who the hell would wanna hear THAT?

There are definitely quite a few non-Perry Journey songs out there that are at least equal in quality to the Perry era...

Maybe the quality of the recording equipment as good. Seriously there is nothing, I mean absolutely nothing before and after Perry that rivals the hit material. Vocally, lyrics, anything, even the success as well, the album sales prove that, but even if sales are not enough, or the voice, you take a look at Neal Schon these days, and you take a look at Neal's playing 20 years ago. He was much more measured back then, played awesome solo's, nothing too sloppy, just really smooth, but even off the stage their decision have cost them a lot of fans lots, lost a lot of respect as well among their peers no doubt among the music industry and critics, the way they treated their former singers, treated them all very badly. Neal has always been underrated, but more so now than ever before, that's my opinion. Anything after Perry is more or less a snooze fest... it really is.

Not to be mean, but I definitely hold a very very VERY firm opinion that if the lead singer change had happened much earlier and Arrival had come out around, say... 1989 or 1990 with the same material on it, it would be a much more beloved album. I honestly think SO many people let nostalgia rule their taste in established bands, even when they still put out AWESOME quality material to this day. And anyone can say to me what they want, give me reasoning, yadda yadda... and I will continue to hold this opinion, because I believe it to be the truth. I am a fan of music, and I absolutely love when bands pimp their new material IN YO FACE when I go to see them live, not to be ignored! I absolutely HATE when they do the opposite, and pander to the casual fans only. There is a happy medium where both crowds can be happy... sprinkling in new songs here and there, encouraging crowd participation in said songs. Sadly, this isn't done enough.

Oh, and the snooze fest thing only "really is" your opinion, as the above statement really is my honest opinion.
Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. YOU GOT THAT?
