If it weren't for my son and grandkids living there, I wouldn't be boarding a plane in two weeks and heading from coastal SoCal to Longview in northeast Texas for ten days in the oppressive heat.

To say I was dreading the temperature would be a massive understatement...

Yikes ... sympathies ... heat isn't the only thing that makes that part of Texas grim.
