I told MS not to give up hope, maybe it was moved to next year. Hey, maybe he did that to ride on Journey's coattails when their album is out, you know, free marketing and publicity.

Actually, The Glee show wants him to make an appearance since the DSB thing went down so well. The cast spoke very highly of him. Maybe it motivated him.

Hmmm. A head to head clash between the two? That would be epic (in MR circles anyway). Andrew better keep his delete/thread lock/forum lock finger in shape...

Yes why was that thread deleted? Interesting huh? I just think the man wants his privacy and they should have not been taken, or at least the tweeter shouldn't have given out the flight info. That was just wrong. Never release info on the man. He wants his life private. We need to respect that. That is probably why it was taken down. He never granted PERMISSION for those photos to be taken. So they should have never been posted. PERMISSION MUST BE GRANTED! I believe I was told that once. Oh well! What's done is done. The pix are all over the place. I just wish they would let that man have peace for once.

How is someone taking a pic of a celebrity in a public place,
a picture that is not incriminating or derogatory, and posting
on the web so wrong??? What harm has been done?
How does this disrupt the man's "peace"???

We've had random, paparazzi-style photos of all kinds of celebrities,
including just about every present/past memeber of Journey, posted
in this forum at some point and it's never been looked down on.
Most times, especially past Perry sightings, such as at ball games,
have been widely appreciated. That's our nature as FANS... in a wierd
way it comforts us to know that our heroes/idols are alive and well.

Aside from the nutjob "tweeting" personal info like flt times,
why has this most recent instance caused such a fucking shit-storm?!?!?

Maybe I can help with this and help create yet another shit storm.

Journey is a band consisting of Arnel Pineda, Neal Schlong, Jonathan Cain, Ross "wobbly legs" Valory and Deen again Castronovo. They are selling tickets....lots and lots of tickets and giving you a pretty good hop for your money. Perry, on the other hand, is retired. Repeat after me...RETIRED. Leave him the fuck alone. He did great stuff. We will always remember that and we can always listen to him sing. Technology allows us that privilege, but for Christ sakes, stop following and stalking him. He does not walk on water. He cannot part the seas and he sure as hell is not the messiah, yet a rumor that he has so much as farted and it gets posted. Loonacy knows no match when it comes to Perry. :P

Best to stay retired and be remembered for his days with Journey than some mediocre Solo albums with melodies on prozac. I treat Perry's solo stuff the same way I treat Journey's albums post Perry. Without Schon, Cain and Perry together, it's just not that great. Street Talk had its moments but with Randy Goodrum out of the picture on FTLOSM, it was just blah. The same with Revelation. Arrival had a nice little dose of inspiration by having Blades on board for a few tunes but after that, yech.
I listened to the clips yesterday posted about Pineda songs he wrote, recorded with the Zoo. His Songwriting makes FTLOSM sound like Appetite For Destruction. Pineda is Cain x10 in the sappy, uninspired lyrics department. No thank you.

Give me Schon,/Perry, Perry/Cain, or the three of them together. Otherwise, You got nothing.

I was embarrassed to say publicly I listened to those Pineda penned songs. He definitely cannot write for shit. I guess Jonny will hold his hand, write some more sap, Neal will act the tough guy protector, Ross will pop out of a garbage can somewhere, and They will sell out campsites again. Pineda can sing like a motherfucker, but there is so much more than that.

Spot on, dude.

Why not, Journey has ridden Steve's coat tails for long enough. Turnabout is fair play.

I still hold out hope for a new album......sometime :?
