i wonder about this though.if schon and cain knew they could get away with only doing post 1998 material i wonder if they would do it.

also i wondered if they would ever put out a post 1998 greatest hits with strictly songs from the last decade.

Works for me!

Different record labels for Arrival and Revelation. All the Arrival stuff would have to be re-recorded . Who's gonna publish it? Wal-Mart? I don't think even they would take that kind of risk.

Arnel would love that, no writing royalties for him. Though Augeri, Blades and a few others would probably be in your corner on that one.

+1000

The best way for this band to prevent itself from being a fucking pile of shit, is to keep recording good shit. Another album filled with songs on par with Change for the Better....

and even I will start giving the pinoy his due credit!

and in respect to my previous post, I equate "pile of shit" to any band that tours on old shite or rerecords shite to recapitalize it's catalog.

So it's not a Journey bash per se, but any band that goes this route...

The only thing that would make sense here is if Journey did "Escape" open to close, then came out and did 10 or so greatest hits as an encore. In my honest opinion, no one alive could sing all of the Escape CD and then sing another 10 songs for maybe more than one night before having some serious problems. I am not even sure Perry could have sang that at the time Escape was recorded - a good hour and fifty minutes every night of some of the toughest songs ever recorded.
