Our best, most rocking song yet and announcement!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Mon Jul 20, 2009 1:02 pm

Hey everyone,

Sorry to keep throwing all of these songs posts at you, but we've really been busy for the last couple of weeks! :D I just posted our most kick-ass song we've done on myspace tonight. It's called "Where Would I Be". It sounds very much like a Journey tune, and I think you'll LOVE it! It's very up-beat, and really rocks out!

Check it out at www.myspace.com/jimrykbost

Alex really stepped up to the plate on this song! He wrote nearly ALL of the lyrics, and he's played the best guitars he's ever recorded, on this song. Way to go man, I'm proud of you!

The only thing the song is lacking is the backing vocals, and the lead guitar in the very end of the song. I'll probably get that within a couple of days, but we just HAD to get this song out for you to check out. :D

I would also like to make an awesome announcement tonight......Cold Heart's drummer is now John Clelland. He is from Scotland, and I think he is going to do some amazing work with us! He's a very nice guy also (which is very important for us!), and You'll be hearing his work very soon. He is joined by Alex, Paul Logue, and myself.

Hope you like the song. Let us know what you think! Take care,

Jim

Sounds great man. I'd punch up the vocals a tad in the mix. My crappy computer speakers might be the problem. My right speaker only works half the time.

Love the song, and you're right, it does have a Journeyesque melody to it.

Thanks for posting it.

Thanks everyone...I appreciate it! Rick... it's not your speakers. The vocals are a tad low. We're going to be recording the "Studio" version of that song very soon, so we decided to just leave it as-is for now. It's going to have some BIG backing vocals in it when it's finished. Thanks for checking it out.

Neither (yet anyway). That's why I called it the "studio". Everyone will record the final tracks at their houses. The difference is that we'll change from sending everything to eachother on mp3's, to sending each individual track seperately to Alex. He'll mix it and master it there at his house. We may also hire a producer, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Also... we'll have live drums and bass included, which will DRASTICALLY change how good these songs sound! :D I can't wait.

Thanks everyone. Steve, you crack me up! I think we can safely say that the days of me becoming famous are long over. I just want an album I can be proud of, and one that others can enjoy. We're getting really close to that I think.

It's fab.

Good work, mate.
very good work.
Lovely lovely voice.

Keyboards on If We Believe are exceptional, Jim. Very ethereal.
The vocal also. I love the natural vibrato.

I'm getting a Survivor vibe though. But that's a compliment.

Talented gits.

Thank you! We really appreciate it, and I appreciate all of the feedback (both positive AND negative) that we've recieved. We also get a lot of PM's that you don't see on here, and they are helpfull. Some are critical, but hey... if we can't take constuctive criticism, we're in the wrong business. Thanks again for all of your help, and we hope we don't disappoint!

YEAH RIGHT!   . I feel safe to say that once this comes out, we MIGHT make enough money to break even. That's if it does pretty well. I think I'll have TONS of wallspace to keep all of my Journey and Kiss posters after this album comes out.

Thank you. I'm working on a brand new song tonight that is similar to Foreigner or Shadow King style wise. We might have it finished in a week or so. Once it's finished, I'll be writing one more, than I'm DONE! :D It's been a lot of work, but I love it. If only I could make a living at this and do it full time...
