I think she would have been huge if she had not gotten involved with Bobby Brown. Glad to see she is making a comeback. She has a powerful voice. :D

She WAS huge. I've always been of the opinion that Bobby Brown, for all of his faults, was just "the fall guy". Whitney did what she wanted to do, Bobby was just her partner in crime, so to speak.

Anywho, I hope she does have a successful come back.

Yeah, she could have found a different thug. She chose to go down the road she went and ultimately, it is up to her to choose to get it right again. I wonder if she got off the crack or whatever she was doing? I used to be one of her biggest fans. I hope she really did clean up and is coming back.

I may not be one of her biggest fans but I listen to her songs occasionally. I wish her the best. You are right Steve the operative word is "choice".

I read somewhere last week that with this album either ABC or CBS wants her to do an hour special.

Like nails on a chalkboard trying to listen to that whining. I think she's taking up valuable shelf space that some other more worthy person that never went off the deep end in the first place could benefit from.

While I'm not a big Whitney fan, I do believe she had a great voice and millions of people loved her music. I guess I believe in redemption. Everyone deserves a second chance. Addiction is a cunning and baffling disease and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Addiction is not a character flaw, it's an illness. I hope Whitney has overcome her demons and is living a healthy happy and sober life. I'd like her comeback to be a triumph, if for no other reason than to give hope to people who may have given up all hope of turning their life around.

I think she was one of the greatest singers of our time, but she's not sober in that video clip right there. She needs to get clean or she's going to die young, and that would be a terrible tragedy.

God Speed Whitney.

Look at her while Clive is speaking... she's wasted....

This "comeback" has nothing to do with her "Getting well"... and more to do with others GETTING RICH... if Clive in in the middle of this its about money.

I think her debut album was her best, especially the Duets with Teddy Prendergrass and Jermaine Jackson.

She didn't look stoned to me, but I though she looked nervous and scared. I can certainly understand that at this point in her life, given her past history, making a comeback could be a pretty terrifying proposition.

I think she looks terrible. The years of drug abuse have changed her. She seems to have irreversible damage and simply isn't the youthful, vibrant and glowing lady she once was. Her face looks like that of a woman that has ahd a lot of rough years.

I'm sure the drugs have taken a toll. How can they not but I dare say if most of us looked in the mirror we wouldn't look as youthful, vibrant and glowing as we did 13 years ago.

She's probably on just as many prescriptions as Michael Jackson was.

On the bright side, she looks great standing next to Clive Davis.

Agreed. But there's a difference when you age naturally and when you destroy your body with drugs. Sophia Loren has aged "naturally." Whitney Houston hasn't. That said, I have always thought she has an amazing voice and I'm looking forward to the album. I wish her the best.

Why does she look like she is about to fall asleep at any moment? She does sound a bit off when talking.
