is there a website where you can find out how many copies an album has sold?

just google the name of the album and type in album sales. You'll find a few different sources, and should get your answer. I know there are official places, but I can't recall what they are.

Unless you have a subscription with Soundscan, it'a hard to get exact numbers.



The RIAA rounds off the North American sales and gives you Gold and Platinum numbers. It's not in depth but it's free and it's an official source.

Just type in whatever artist your interested in and it will provide each single and album sales figures for that artist over the course of their career.
