The Journey Special 1982

Postby GrandIllusionist725 » Sat Aug 01, 2009 12:49 pm

I was at some flea market yesterday and I came across a three LP radio promo of Journey's, looks like it was from NBC Radio's Young Adult Network titled "The Source".

It's real interesting, still had the original radio scripts with it and everything. I was wondering if any of you have this same promo and is it worth anything? Not that the price matters too much because I like to collect anything and everything Journey. I also found the 12 inch single of Still They Ride, 12 inch single of Who's Crying Now, and half-speed masters of Frontiers and Departure :)

I don't know anything about that but it sounds like a cool find! I love flea markets.

Me too, I love finding little radio promo's on my favorite groups. It was only about 2 bucks, and finding Journey singles is fun! I even picked up some Styx imports that were half-speed masters :D

I found that one too and bought it. It's my favorite Journey song, and the album cover is kinda neat with the old car speeding off (Jesse riiiiiiiiides  ). I framed that one. A couple of years ago I bought a bunch of those album frames from a craft store and decided to frame some of my favorite album covers from back in the day. Makes for some cool wall art downstairs in the family room.

From what I read, they are suppose to be better sounding versions of the record. From what I listen to, they aren't much better but the crackling and skips are not heard on the record.
