Tommy has enough well known songs that he sang lead on, Styx can pull it off. Crystal Ball, Too Much Time on My Hands, Renegade, Blue Collar Man, Fooling Yourself, Boat On The River, etc. I had Lights on the B-Side of my "Best Of Times" 45 and Played it more than the A-side.

I SOOOO wish DDY sang Lights. Wouldn't that have been ironic as a motherfucker?!

I've seen Styx with DDY 3 times and without over half a dozen. Saw DDY solo. I was entertained everytime.

Met Styx w/o DDY and they were an extremely friendly bunch (to both me and my 8 year old). Took my same 8 year old to DDY and ran into him after the show and he totally blew us off. Didn't take it personally as he was headed to a meet and greet. My daughter's favorite song was Come Sail Away for years.

Agree they blew Journey away when with REO. Don't know if that was because I was too tired or Journey was flat.

Perry would have to put out something new for this to be a statement that can be argued...you can't compare the two....voice to voice currently.....hopefully that will change
