You claimed before that rockindeano uses an insult generator bot. Man if that is true, that would be the equivalent of tapegate here at MR.

Those of us that have partied with Deano, know his whole 6'+ frame is loaded with off the wall insults. He's a natural.

I can see that in him. This dude probably kills to party with. That would be fun.

The show freakin rocked!
Seriously... other than the Pala venue tickets were a joke... and everyone sat down, they were insane shows! Especially the 2nd Pala and San Bern shows. The band is TIGHT, and really puts on a show! Make Vegas if you can!RocknRoll wrote:faith20yrs wrote:Chubby321 wrote:Encore: Be Good To Yourself and the final bow.

I'm still kicking myself for not doing the West Coast. I had reservations at Pala and ended up cancelling them. It sounds like I sure sounds like I missed some incredible shows and a tremendous time. Just a screwed up year for me. Vegas Anyone?

Hmmmm? Didn't you go to Sacramento, or am I thinking of someone else? Last time I checked Sacramento is west coastbut they weren't really hot into the tour then, so that might not have been the best gig to see.

One show iisn't anywhere nearly as fun as partying over several shows and casino shows are usually the best. Next year Pechanga plaese. And I absolutely loved Sacarmento, but that seems like was eons ago now.

A sentimental evening with Journey, Night Ranger

DEVORE, Calif. — I will always love Journey, my favorite rock band when I was growing up.
And it was obvious I was not the only one Saturday, as a crowd of about 15,000 packed the San Manuel Ampitheatre for the San Francisco group's latest local concert.
But hard truth is, I miss Steve Perry, the band's dynamic, god-voiced lead singer who left the group more than 10 years ago and has been replaced by various stand-ins, the latest Arnel Pineda.
Pineda is great in every way a singer can be great. He sounds fantastic, he sings with passion, he is increasingly confident in the swagger department, and he looks just fine with long hair intact.
But there is only one Steve Perry in the world - about that millions of Journey fans would agree - and it's just not the same without him, and it never will be.
Now that all that is out the way, Journey did a great job Saturday from the opening strands of "Majestic" to all their greatest hits such as "Faithfully," "Open Arms," "Don't Stop Believing," "Wheel in the Sky," "Separate Ways" and "Stone in Love," along with lots of others.
Neal Schon remains an incredible guitar player, and he nailed every solo just perfectly.
The crowd was nothing short of adoring, and everyone appeared to be satisfied and happy by the end of the nearly two-hour set. Except maybe for me. I'm here to proclaim that Steve Perry has not been forgotten and never will be even though he has had countless opportunities to rejoin the band or record new solo material instead of remaining almost totally inactive through the seasons.
That's Perry's fault, not Journey's. The band continues to sell a lot of tickets - few peers from Journey's era sell many CDs anymore, though Journey did go platinum with the new "Revelation" this time around - and make millions of dollars without Perry.
They'd be even bigger if he rejoined. But as the years go on, it looks more and more like that is never going to happen.
So Journey is what it is. Still one of world's best melodic rock bands but not as good they could be.
Journey did in fact blow opener Night Ranger off the stage. Night Ranger really did not do anything wrong Saturday except for maybe holding back their biggest hits until the end and doing a bit too much between-song talking on the part of Jack Blades.
But Night Ranger has always been kind of a by-the-numbers outfit despite a handful of amazingly great songs such as "(You Can Still) Rock in America," "Sentimental Street" and of course "Sister Christian."
There's a reason Night Ranger never quite made it big enough to headline arenas on their own. But 25 years later the group is still alive and kicking, and that's got to count for something.

Thanks Chubby......it's nice to know that you are willing to share interviews that say what some of us all feel.
