OT: Creed set list

Postby carleysdad » Thu Aug 13, 2009 7:06 am

I know this is off topic, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen Creed live since they started playing shows last week. If so, do you have a set list? I have tickets to see them in 2 weeks and I'm hoping they will play 1 or 2 songs from Scott Stapp's solo disc.

I know they played one new song in Pittsburgh and I'm pretty sure they didn't play any Stapp stuff. You can check out a lot of videos of the first few shows on youtube.

They were on Live & Loud last Friday Night on VH1. I watched the interview part in the beginning and had to turn it off before the music even started. Besides the fact that the girl giving the interview was retarded (she did much better with Def Leppard earlier in the "season" though), the guys just looked pained to be there. This is a money grab, nothing else. Only Scott needs this so I hope he brings his A-game....but I cannot understand why the rest of the guys were willing to put Alter Bridge on hold for THIS!

I saw the Live & Loud show last Friday on VH1. Stapp didn't sound too good. His voice was rough and he missed a lot of the notes (if you can call them that) on the song My Sacrifice.

On another note, I must disagree with you regarding the host of L&L. She is hot!!!

Hot has nothing to do with ability. I would love her naked in my living room...just not giving an interview.

I was at the 8/8 show at Darien Lake and they were pretty good....."One" was the highlight, and "My Sacrifice" wasn't too bad either:

Andrew - I know you disagree, but My Sacrifice is a great melodic rocker in my opinion.

It was only 85ish minutes.....and there were just 2 unknowns playing short sets before. They went on after 9 and were done by 10:30. I was expecting a 2 hour set.

I agree personally, but, if you think about it, and this is St Johns logic, Creed for their first albums outsold everyone in music I believe. What 24 million sales in 3 records? Goddamn that is not too bad. You might not like Stapp and I don't, but Tremonti is an excellent guitar player.

Too bad they didn't play only Alter Bridge songs and have Myles Kennedy on vocals. Otherwise, complete shite. Stapp ruins it for me. He also seems to hold the rest of the band back musically.

His name is Eric Friedman.

Myles Kennedy is rumored to be working on a solo project as Creed Tours, Alter Bridge III will be their next cd, and it was in the works before the Creed reunion.

AB is more of the music I think Tremonti and Phillips want to play, a bit heavier but who could turn down the $$$$$$$$$$ from a tour and CD with the cash cow. Tremonti said in an interview when AB formed that they (all former member of Creed) were not in it for the $$ but the music and they back the band with their own $$. I think if AB was marketed to the american auidence the right way the band could take off. They have only done one major tour of big areans when they supported 3 Doors and Shinedown on 05 other than that they moslty play to smaller crowds, except in Europe

I have a magazine that has Mark Tremonti (guitars, lead) on the cover saying that creed "Will never fucking happen again" Direct quote...

So much for that....

At least I could respect alterbridge... the only good thing about Creed is tremonti's rediculos skills...
I want a new tour bus filled with old guitars...

So did Vanilla Ice. Sales are in no way a measure of musical worth. The public, for the most part, are fucking morons who will take anything force-fed to them by mass media and the major labels.
