You should adore your wife for that and kiss the ground she walks on   . I'm like a hurricane most mornings. I can't find anything. One shoe missing. Missing belt. Missing car keys. It goes on and on. I can tear the bedroom or house apart in 15 minutes flat b/f leaving for work. It's a talent. 8)

I bet if you were meeting Neal the next day it would be a completely different scenario. 8)

Yes she would be at Victoria's Secret shopping to the perfect outfit!!

Oh, you both are just so funny.
Im sure you all know about the free underwear from Victorias Secret. My wife gets a free pair every month or something like that. Idk...

Ahhh Maybe she is buying stuff and telling me its free

The video doesn't really do his performance justice. Hopefully someone will post something from Dr. John.

Edit - here we go - Dr. John

   Thanks for the links, Johnny Winter has always looked pretty creepy being an albino and all. Of course the heroin, pills and vodka didn't help either. Here is a link to a really interesting article about Johnny Winter and his health & financial problems. http://www.livebluesworld.com/profiles/ ... ogPost:461

There was an interesting quote in the article that got me thinking:

""They want to touch him, talk to him, grab his jewelry, whatever. He sees these people get really intense, and he hears people talk about how, when and where they saw him, or how his music changed their lives. But he's like, 'How can my music do that to somebody?' He just doesn't get the enormity of it all...
"Everybody wanted to mess with him or interact with him somehow if he tried to go anywhere," Shurman recalls. "We'd have to find him refuge from people. Everybody wanted to fight him, fuck him, give him a tape, or get him high. Anything except leave him alone."

I can imagine that must be how it was for the members of Journey especially Steve Perry. No wonder he wanted to get off the crazy train.

Never been a shoe person - I wear them until they fall apart & I like comfort or barefoot. Also, not a jewelry person.

And, I have all this jewelry making stuff I kept buying thinking I'd start making & selling or for gifts! I did make each of my girls a name bracelet & a pair of earrings for me to wear to a wedding.

 Shoes. Love 'em. I've been known to wake up from a weekend shoe shopping bender with no less than 7 pairs of new shoes - more than once! ...and boots? Oh, don't get me started. Handbags? Especially designer ones? Yep, that too. Mind you, I never EVER pay full price.  It's a chick thang, I don't expect the fellas to understand. Maybe it's analogous to men & power tools, I dunno. :P :P :P

Bingo. Power tools, electronics, season tickets, or whatever the passion may be.

One man's 46" HD flat-panel is another woman's pair of Christian Louboutins.

But to address the original question in the first post, personally, I don't wear shoes just once. Some women do I'm sure, but I believe that these are mostly the true shopaholics, the ones who need intervention - and I'm not being funny - I used to have a friend like this... she has hundreds (no exaggeration) of handbags, many of them never used, or used for maybe a week until a new shiny $300 object caught her eye. Many of these are the insanely expensive ones... Louis Vuitton, Coach, Dooney... etc. Same with shoes. Hundreds of barely worn pairs... it's sick! These people are no different from drug addicts. They drop a bunch of money on bullshit because it makes them feel good at the time. Like with this girl I've described... been shopping with her countless times and I can honestly say of the thousands of dollars I've watched her drop on clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, makeup and other accessories, I've seen her wear or use maybe 15% of the items, and usually only once or twice.

But I don't think this applies to most of us women. Plus, the more expensive something is, the more likely I am to use the hell out of it.

I was never into handbags and shoes at all - but right around 2007, my girlie gene finally kicked in.

I love shoes and would buy tons but 90% of the time I wear the same pair of flats, flip flops, or tennis shoes. I have many pairs of heels I don't wear, though.

JTTC next year

I love shoes too, but I seem to have the worst luck with wearing the wrong shoes to the wrong events. Case in point........wore the wrong high-heeled sandles for an unexpected stroll all over Southbend and got the biggest blister I've ever had, the day before standing all day for MRFest. Then high-heeled boots for an all day excursion at Mohegan Sun. Yep, I never learn.....

Maybe you will learn that those kind of shoes are for short-term wearing - such as a 4-5 hour event, like JTTC next year... which we better see you for!!  :D

I am not much of a designer clothes person.

Love love designer purses. :D

I strongly believe that shoes should match your clothes. :D

And even underwear. Underwear should be nice all the time, clean and nice...at least when you get into an accident the paramedics will see a clean one.
