Maybe to you   but definitely not to me, not to his fans, not to the victims of typhoons in the Philippines and most especially not to the poor people he's helping under his foundation.

great for him that hes doing all that stuff for his home country, Im not knocking his humanitarian efforts. I plan/design/build/run the largest charity fundraising halloween event in south Georgia-not one penny goes to me for nearly 3 months of work on this but can I be the lead singer for Journey? FUCKING HELL NO!!!! Neither can arnie boy.

Well....I did hear you've got a gig comin' up in the next month or so....maybe if you put it on youtube you could land yourself a position with the band....

No singing for me though, just playing the bass.....maybe some harmony vocals...?

doesnt that bass playing ruin your golf game???

Oh hell no!!! Now that halloween is in the books Im getting my ass back on the links, maybe this saturday morning....I played bass guitar a long time ago. I still somewhat remember several songs and my job says all management employees have to perform a skit at our Christmas party so Im getting 3 of my buds and we're gonna whip out some Lovin touch squeezing....!

Long story short - somebody in the Production Dept. laughed and said they need to "YouTube" to find their next Singer.

To which Todd replied:

"Hey, Pineda! Can ya do a good Steven Tyler impersonation??"

....what's up with that....?

Some people in the US have figured out who Pineda is and that he has a reputation of being like a mynah bird

Actually, I think he has a reputation of a guy that can come in and get the job done. A Joke? Hardly.

A joke for Journey??? Hardly false.

Journey is more relevant now since Raised on Radio to Journey fans and the general public. Perry fans? Not so much, but that's understandable. Some get that Perry ain't coming back and can move on. They're doing big touring biz (or just did), had a number one DVD, a top ten album, playing countries they've never been to before. Yeah, he's a joke, totally not helping the band.

No, I disagree with you. More relevant since ROR? Wrong. Trial by Fire was far more relevant than anything since ROR. Big touring biz, OK. When they package them with 2 other bands who couldnt? Did you see Def Leppards tour gross with Poison and Cheap Trick???? How about REO, STYX and 38 Special??? Can Journey play stand alone and fill up a 7000 seat theater with a little known opening act no way, unless tickets are around $30. Arnels novelty is wearing off with a lot of people. With JSS or Kevin Chalfant I believe every fruit they enjoy today that you speak of would be there x 2. A few more live TV performances and the casual Journey fan will back off when they see arnie boy go into seizure on the stage, like the Super Bowl.

same old arguments. Not worth replying.
Album sales don't lie. DVD sales don't lie. Concert receipts don't lie.

The only thing I wouldn't hang a hat on is the DVD sales. Motley Crue had a number one Music DVD earlier this year, 7000 sold put it at #1. It's not like 100s of thousands being moved like CDs or regular movie DVDs. That's why Billboard doesn't even have it on their public site, it's sort of like the A/C chart, cool but not the end all.

The tour revenue and the rest of the stuff, I agree with, good on the band.

Put Journey(with arnie boy) out there with some unknown bastard opening....then lets see em fill a 7000 seat venue. Wont happen. The future was bright with my man JSS...now it looks like mud.

In your mind. Got some info that the rest of us don't?

Your man JSS is doing just fine in his element which is not Journey.

If his voice is really getting shredded and he's not trying to cop the Sammy vibe, it indeed will be over soon.

His a capella DSB the other night was flawless, albeit short.

And there was a clip of him singing with a band impromptu at a restaurant while here for his charity last week and his voice was crystal clear. All this talk about coming to an end soon cracks me up. They just came off a successful tour, platinum album and great selling DVD. And Neal and Arnel are together as we speak. I think the "arnie train" re Journey is doing just fine despite wishful thinking by some who don't want him with Journey.
