After going on a hunt after that tease from Andrew for the new singer of the "supergroup," I found this:

"Eric Woolfson, the lead singer/songwriter of soft rock supergroup The Alan Parsons Project has died at 64 after a long battle with cancer.

Obit from the Telegraph, press release from Alan Parsons' Web site.

I was fairly obsessed with APP as a young man. Despite their AM radio friendliness, songs like "Time" and "Eye in the Sky" gave me the creeps. To my pre-teen ears at least, they sounded like what the Beatles would have been up to had they ever re-formed. The song, and the video, that captured my imagination the most, below - "Don't Answer Me." "

:( . I love The Alan Parsons Project...

Okay, Chubbs, spill whatever it is you know; I would badger Andrew but he ignores me most of the time, lol.

I think Chubbs is using reverse psychology to get Andrew to spill the beans, but I'm pretty sure he's on to that trick.

A poster at the Hughes forum says Glenn stated in Brazil where he is on tour that the band is:

Glenn Hughes - vocals & bass

Joe Bonamassa - guitar

Jason Bonham - drums

Jordan Rudess - keyboards.

It sounds cool but this is really not a supergroup like Chickenfoot .

Come on Jim, this could be really cool. That is a MONSTER group of musicians there... it's all about the songs.

Hard to judge something I havn't heard yet. I'll keep an open mind. This could be good.

Glenn's webmaster is now flatly denying this is the lineup and this post was totally incorrect. It would have been cool but it's no supergroup. So we will still have to find out.

Maybe it isn't any of those guys. Jimmy Page just did a couple interviews saying he's got new music coming out in 2010. His name alone would put the "Super" in any Group.
