The Manila dvd is a little above average. The sound just doesn't do it for me. It's got a great set list and you can't go wrong for the price, but it's not something you'll be wet in the pants about. Where Did I Lose Your Love came out excellent. :)

Agreed on this one, the mix sounds flat. Arnel's vox is so raw. The amateur Youtube videos sounded better. Maybe because I'm using a laptop and headphones. But the Graspop even on FLV is just way too crunchier and I like that. :D

I only watched the Manila DVD once, but I'd love to get ahold of the Graspop show. It was far better. It really needs to be sold on DVD.

The vocals and instruments were so much crisper and brighter sounding on Graspop, which made it more exciting to watch.

You don't think the setlist is at all better than the free DVD from Revelation?

Obviously the setlist is better because its got more songs. But thats the only thing going for it, really. To be honest Ive only played it once since I bought it and was so underwhelmed I havent spun it since. Now, the 2001 DVD has basically been worn out in my player.

Let's be fair, though. One is a live DVD and the other isn't.

I will be getting the dvd next time I venture over to the local Walmart. For 10 bucks, I can spare even if it's lousy. I have everything else Journey, so why not add this to my collection. Thanks all for the feedback.

At this point, there's usually only one or two there now. So probably better to call the stores and have them hold it if they have it.

They had a lot last time I was in my Wally World a few weeks ago. Definitely more than 1 or 2... but probably a good idea to check anyway.

I can hear the instruments very well but Graspop has a fair amount of distortion as well which is really exploited when played in my car audio which has over 1000 watts of Rockford-Fosgate goodness.
