Arnel & Journey in Burrn Magazine Poll top results

Burrn is Japan's most popular heavy metal / hard rock magazine.

The April issue of the magazine Burrn, number 4, 2010, published the Readers' 26th Annual Poll.

Among the results are:

Best Vocalist - Arnel Pineda (#16)

Best Guitarist - Neal Schon (#25)

Best Keyboard Player - Jonathan Cain (#11)

Best Live Performance in Japan - Journey (tied for #10).

According to selfdual, page 27 cites the writer/critic Masao Fujiki picking Journey as #1 live performance.

Hilarious. I sure as Hell wouldn't be proud to tout this fishwrap of a magazine. Eric martin at #3? LOL, Jon Bon Jovi at #9?!! He doesn't even sing live!

where's the proof? :lol: there has to be evidence for such a statement. None of the female fans, apparently around here believe you, except brywool concurs. I can't tell from newer clips, but he does keep the mic close to his mouth. Of course, nobody ever knew that augeri did it either who were there.

I wouldn't say that. I think people voted their favorite. It just probably goes to show that Guns 'N Roses are still big in Japan.

Now for Arnel, who is virtually unknown two years ago, to make the list together with well-known and iconic band frontmen, I think is awesome, no matter how you look at the result. :D

Arnel was unknown, the material that he's singing wasn't. Props to him for gaining recognition, but doing it by following a template that's 25-30 years old waters it down a bit, don't ya think?
