With that many songs, why don't they do like the Eagles and create a two disc album of new music? An album with 22 new songs worked out pretty well for Henley and crew.

It's Journey dipstick.

What do Journey and the Eagles have incommon?

Current and former Band members that hate each others guts? The difference being, the Eagles were able to overcome their problems enough to actually go out and make even more boatloads of cash. Not to mention a 7x Platinum album (converted from fuzzy math, that's 3.5 million double disc packages)

A lot of new fans were introduced to Journey via a three disc package for 12 bucks. It will be sticker shock going from that to a one disc album for 10 dollars.

They both got Azoff too.

BTW, since Rip is in the know, I wonder if he also knows when Perry's next album is being recorded?

Since Neal is writing with Jon and Arnel now, the album has gone from rockin' to musical.
The Ballad bombers strike again.

As long is there are no retreads, it can't be too bad.

Actually, I don't think that crowd isn't as big as everyone makes it out to be. When I saw Journey at the Greek Theater in 2008, Asians couldn't have been more than 10% of the crowd (and believe me, L.A. is packed with them)

We had dinner a week ago with one of my wife's friends. She's a 40 something Filipina. She knew the music but didn't know who was fronting the band, so you could be right. She was shocked when I told her the story about Arnel.

Something funny. I was checking out Arnel's old website. It has over 900 members listed but at least 300 (or more of those) are fake memberships created by spambots or whatever you call them). I guess the webmaster doesn't know how to block them or he want's to have an artificially high number of members to make it look like the site is more popular than it is.

I remember there was a bunch of bickering when the "new official" site opened. Nobody wanted to move to the new site. They were acting like a bunch of 5 year olds.
The people that migrated to the new site are actually pretty decent peeps, from what I've seen.

NOT the PLOKKERS!!! :P
I can't believe Arnel would allow that!! Plokkerville was all about sugar and spice and everything nice!!
I thought the people were very kind~ some of them just had an unrealistic view/expectations of their idol ...
The SB was fun when Arnel wasn't visiting!!! I have never gotten used to the new site!!

I may have this figured out, but let's see your answer.

That's sad, it's surprising that he has not done anything. If he doesn't know how to block it, he should at least spend time to manually delete each one.

It was nasty.

Wrong MG, sorry.

Btw, I have been observing Arnel and I can honestly say that he's a pretty loyal person. Therefore, once he parted ways with someone/something, it's never a good sign.

Fakers? I wouldn't say that. I think the sudden change shocked most, if anything, but it's calm now. It's just like any other place, there are good people and bad ones. And in fairness, members of each site truly get along well.

I am proud to say that many of the active members of Arnel's numerous sites are very helpful, generous and caring. :D

If Kevin Shirley has any say-so, then there won't be 16 songs like Arrival. He was quite vocal about that album having too many songs. Seems he was very concerned about sequencing too. Of course, I think John Kalodner was in on that whole New York debacle too. We'll see this time.

I am SO on board with that. 10-12 seems perfect. Of course there is a balance between value and length. As long as the quality is there it can work. But I think a couple less songs makes the album feel better...
