I believe these shows are to benefit his foundation for kids, so maybe people will be willing to dig a bit deeper and pay more knowing it's going to a good cause. I wonder if he's ever tried stand up comedy?

I guess Rachel Ann Go and the AMMO band are doing these shows for free then? I don't think so. It's been said before and I'll bring it up again, If the band is truly brothers in arms or what not, why not do a Journey show just for his charity? That would be bigger than all of these little shows he's doing playing as a cover singer.

Jon and Neal do know charity, From articles I have read about the band over the last 30 years, they along with Perry, Smitty, Augeri and most of the previous members have given tremendously to various causes over the years. They just don't have their PR people banging people over the head with it continuously.

Didn't they do something this last year in the Bay area?

I'm sure they've all given a nice chunk of change to his charity.

Yep, at Raley field. Journey has always been charitable. This myth that they only became more giving since Pineda showed up is hogwash.
I would venture to guess that the contributions that Perry, Herbie and all the band members past and present have given to charity would probably be well with in the seven digit range.

That's true. I do wonder why they haven't done something for his charity? Well, Neal did go over to the Philippines, but not the same.

I see it now, I thought you were writing in white.

She's hiding it so Neal doesn't read it.

No. My friend went last year and said it was jam packed, about two thousand or more, and that Arnel was feeling the love from the audience. His fans had been living off the Zoo videos for well over a year and they were estatic to finally hear him sing those covers in person. She felt sorry for Lani b/c it was clear from the audience reaction Arnel was the draw.

Well, Lani is certainly better looking. I would have payed attention to her.

The HAWAII show is canceled also. Even with the Heavy Asian population, filling 8,000 seats at the Blaisdell Arena seemed like a pretty tall order for a club band. Well, that gives him more time to practice on his new songs with Journey.

Are they giving a reason?

No, all the shows that were axed are spread out on the schedule so I have no idea.
That leaves seven shows on the schedule, three in the states and four in Canada.

July 3 - Peppermill Casino, Reno
July 10 - Agua Caliente, Palm Springs
July 17 - Alberta, Canada
July 18 - Vancouver, Canada
July 23 - Another show in Alberta
July 25 - Atlantic City
July 30 - Toronto, Canada

That's funny, was anyone left pouting over it?
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

I think Journey management had something to do with the cancellation.

The Vegas and Anaheim shows were AFTER the Reno show and before the other shows, so I can't imagine how that would have anything to do with the new album. Wow, the Hilton on the 4th Of July, really surprised to see that get canceled as Vegas will be packed that weekend.
Though in the overall scheme of things, it matters not.
