Well, since Neal said this album is "slammin" and "f-wicked" I'm expecting nearly all the songs to be rockers... Why would anyone think that Arnel only writes ballads? "To Whom It May Concern" and "Mystery Lady" (I can't remember the name of the other song totally) could very well be flat-out rock and roll--I hope so anyway. Whatever they come out with will be most welcome . I am so looking forward to whatever it is they're putting together.

Rick, you're half right--I've never been anything other than fredinator/Nancy. Susie died of ovarian cancer in December 2008, a week before Christmas. That's all I'm going to say about it.

The Journey songs belong to whatever 5 man incarnation made them, but anyone can sing any songs if they pay the proper licensing fees. They're not sung because, while in Journey, he gets paid to sing them as a member of the band, not solo.

I always figured the restriction was more of a sub-standard playing thing, than an AP thing. If I were JC, NS, RV, or DC, I wouldn't want anyone playing Journey with Journey's singer, other than me. I'm sure Neal cringes when he sees AP sing Journey with some other guitar player.

Btw, I don't think there are any fees involved with live performances. I always thought anyone can sing anyone, if they want. It's the copyrights associated with recording and publishing where money is involved.

Another Arnel composition included in the track listing is She's A Mystery.

For our friends south of the border, South America is to be part of the next tour too along with Europe and Asia.

And just for those concerned, there was confirmation that Pineda is still restricted from performing Journey tunes on his solo gigs.

That's a given.

Why is it a given?? If he is a full fledged member of Journey why can't he sing whatever he wants to wherever the wants to???

The dirty dozen are the only songs people would want to hear him sing and we all know that Arnel had nothing to do with writing/composing any of those songs.
