ACDC successfully did it and to a lesser extent VH did too.


On my drive up to San Francisco after work I listened to VH during the Diamond Dave era. Kickass music. On my drive home after San Francisco I was listening to VH during Sammy era. Again Kickass music. I think the bottom line is, good music sells, and so if you get a vocalist in the band who can really walk the walk and talk the talk, replacing the vocalist will work. Only other problem is if the vocalist and band start having conflict, like what eventually happened to VH/Sammy. Good music sells....regardless of who's doing the singing, just as long as they can do it well.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
