NBA Basketball- Gotta Love It!

Postby Rockindeano » Sat Jul 21, 2007 11:25 am

Did I NOT tell you fuckers....The NBA is rigged. I told you all this many times over.

Well, the tip of the iceberg. Referee found to be compromising games. This is only the first of what insiders think will be many more.

Who the hell cares? Honestly, isn't that what you'd reply? Waiting for football season here.

You WERE right. That's why I thank God that Football season starts in less than a month (pre season).

And Joe...Philly IS a shithole.

Deano - I would like to know your thoughts and others guys here if you think the NFL is susceptible? Seems like many games, especially the last 2 qts there are questionable calls that change the outcome of the game. How many times has instant reply clearly shown a bad call? They need to allow instant replay on more instances and stop trying to stay in the commercial filled 3 hrs the network allows . Times have changed and I feel sorry for the people that have spent hundreds to attend, only to lose to bad calls. Since there is so much betting & point spreads it seems very likely the NFL may be next on the FBI list. This did not seems to go on so much back in the Roger Staubach /Fran Tarkington/Joe Namath days. I know instant replay was less but every yr the NFL changes so many rules that that also could contribute.

Hey, man.
If my friend Larry wasn't from the Lone Star State I'd throw that shit right back @ you.

As it is, he's gonna get Bobby Knight to autograph my copy of his memoirs so I'll let TX slide at this time. :)

Hmm.

There are so many bad calls in every NFL game aren't there? BOTH ways too. Seems to me the NFL should hire their referrees full time. As it is now, they have regular jobs and fly into NFL cities for the Sunday games. With all the NFL's cash, you would think they would hire full time, YOUNGER guys, who aren't so fucking blind!

Let's break down the foiur major sports ref's and see who the true shitheads are?

NFL These old rotten crotched bastards are bad enough; no need for them to rig NFL games.

NBA League of thugs deserves corrupt officials. I can hear Timmy Duncan yelling at Joey Crawford in Texas from California.

MLB Umpires turning in their first class plane tickets and pocketing the cash difference for coach. Fat fucks who die on the field. Ask the Cincinnati fans about this.

NHL The most difficult game to oversee. Fast, violent and they need to skate and dodge pucks. They do have help from the War Room in Toronto when a questionable shot goes in or doesn't.

I don't have this whole "pro sports sucks" mentality, but I will say the NBA and the NFL are absolutely fucking boring. I love watching NCAA football, and I can get excited about the NCAA basketball tournament, but despite living in cities that have had good basketball teams lately (Detroit) and good NFL teams (Chicago), I just can't convince myself that it's interesting.

Still love hockey, but I wish the 82 game regular season wasn't just a glorified pre-season and actually meant something. THen I wouldn't have to wait until next Spring for a real hockey game. Go Wings!

Who gives a fuck about the NBA. It's full of thug, Mandigo, knuckle-draggers. Why people pay to see these convicts is beyond me.

Deano- You are right. The players unions and the ref unions are strong. Does major league baseball seem to handle the unions better, unless steroids are involved? Ha ! I give it to the NFL on drug policy. I do not know much about hockey and I lost interest in basketball back in the Bulls heydays. I just know the average fan works his butt of to see sports on the weekend and there is so much money in sports that the low lifes will figure a way to profit. Thanks !

I can't find this story anywhere. Does anyone have a link?

The Patriots were ROBBED of a Super Bowl appearance last year. The NFL was DESPERATE to get Manning into a Super Bowl last year, because everyone knew that was his last chance.

Back home (in the UK), referees have cost team championships more than one time. It's a travesty.

The Pats blew an 18-point lead, didn't they? I don't remember if there were bad calls in that game. Were there?

Frankly, It hard to look at any sport these days...where human judgement can be the deciding factor in whether a team wins or loses. Basketball, to me, has always been a rap-lite. It's simply a case of brothers that have found yet another way to circumvent society's rules on a path to celebrity...and in some cases notoriety. Just like rap music....except the NBA is a pube-hair more socially acceptable. NFL is almost as bad...cough vick cough....

I've been a baseball fan since 1981...and frankly, I'm no longer watching it. I've seen enough bad plate calls by the fat, hotdog burping fuckwad behind the plate to last a lifetime. Combine that with the fact that the worlds biggest piece of shit will break the most hallowed record in baseball while cheating...and MLB's administrative people will look the other way....is just sickening. To suggest that the referees are corupt in baseball is laughble, given the fact that Bonds will get to Hank and pass him with the chemical assistance (cheating) he is getting. I have to agree with Dean, that hockey refs seem to earn their pay. They have to dodge a LOT of shit...practically be athletes themselves....all while on skates...to be able to call a game. They earn their money....but alas, they're human, and are just as susceptable to bribery or trickery.

The chin tap that almost landed the player in traction I know of, but projectile lettuce? Gotta be brought abrest of that.

(Hey, LAR, I'm coming through Lubbock in August -remember?? I'll need coffee as I'm driving to Denver. is it a date?)

How am I flip flopping? It's the most ridiculous sport of the four majors. However, if you are insinuating that Boston got robbed last night then you are just a fuckin sore loser. Not every game can be rigged you know.
