Nobody would enjoy that more than me (Sorry, but I don't count the bon bon-eating, near menopause, gaggle of overweight Loons), but the fact remians that he last sang the songs a half step down and was rumored to be singing them a full step down when they were clowning around during the TBF sessions. Someone that was in those sessions told me that "You just knew by what the songs sounded like when he was singing them a step down that it (the TBF tour) was probably never going to happen." In all fairness, he did say that Nostrildamus sounded really good, but that the songs sounded "very different" and wasn't sure how the fans would react. I think the money is there, the other members of Journey are there, the fans are there, but Perry isn't. The guy's just a quitter.

Yep, good summary. Of course, you and I wouldn't care what he sounds like! For me, the highlights would be the immense buildup of excitement, watching the facial expressions of Perry, Schon, etc. during the show, and hearing what would probably be the loudest screaming crowd I've ever heard. And of course, nailing some photos of it all. I can dream.

The guy finds excuses and he bails. He did it with The Sullies, he did it with Journey in 1986, he did it on the FTLOSM tour, and he did it again to Journey in 1996. He has unfinished project after unfinished project. More than one artist has expressed displeasure and frustration with having worked with the guy and the final product never seeing the light of day.

The Sullies?!?!?! For real, dude? Man, you're reaching big time there!!!! Next you're gonna bring up the kid who he wouldn't let borrow his crayons in kindergarten.

It just goes to show that there's a history, basically, from his first band/touring entity to his last, and all those in between. Every single one of them, to be exact.

Oops, it was Alien Project and he all but gave up music and hit the turkey ranch when the bassist was killed. Good thing Herbie called him up and gave him a chance. He later thanked him by firing him. Nice guy.

That's still a reach to pin fault on him after the tragic demise of Alien Project.

Any person with balls would take some time off to grieve and then replace the bassist. Did AC/DC fold up when Bon Scott died? And they're exponentially bigger than Nose Candy's boy band was.

You're missing a few pieces of the puzzle here...was it just his decision to fold the project, or was it the entire band's? Did management or the record label lose interest? Seriously, you're not talking about an established act who had a lot of $$$ riding on it's reputation (a reason why AC/DC would have to make a move like they did). They were a band who were going to sign a record deal based on some demos. You also forgot the part about being rejected a number of times over the years and this being a devastating blow. That info's been documented a number of times, it's not just some shit that I'm trying to piece together. Your Sullies mention was more entertaining.
