Yea, never quite understood why Neal and Jon gave away unused Arrival tracks, when they barely had enough original material to fill up Generations.

barely had enough material is really pushing it. When you are down to re-recording previously released tracks, you don't have enough material. Haven't heard the other ones, but One World isn't bad at all--and lyrically fairly close to the darker themes on Generations.

To answer the question though, I don't think Generations was planned as an album and was thrown together at the last minute when it became obvious Augeri was going to release something with or without the rest of the band.

RJD, 67 years old....more taxing catalog, without a break.....sorry, not buying it.

I saw RJD ten shows before his final show. If you listen to any live stuff the past few years, it was great in person, but not so great when you listen to recordings. He was amazing for a 66 year old, but there was still wear and tear and age difficulties there. There isn't one human on earth that has a perfect voice live when they age. (Even Glenn Hughes).

GO MICKEY ! Kicking ass singing Jane at standard pitch. It is as if he has not lost any of it at all and HE NAILS THE HIGH MONEY NOTE. Wow. I would like to hear him collab with Neal solo. Neal and a strong tenor = probably good.

yeah the guy's an amazing singer. Never was a fan of Sara, but man, he hits some great notes.
I remember that MT got attacked in a bar and somebody cut the hell out of his face. He supposedly had a lotta plastic surgery.
Anybody else remember hearing that?

Yeah, but let's be honest listen to Heaven and Hell's live at Radio city - was Ronnie singing those songs in the original keys? no way, great as he was (and he was the best metal singer ever, period) time takes it's toll - Coverdale's another good example of a singer who can't reach the notes that were once easy.

I love Mickey Thomas. I wish Craig Chaquico would put down his acoustic and plug back in again. They should do a Chaquico/Thomas album.
