New Schon Guitar????

Postby RocknRoll » Fri Aug 27, 2010 1:54 pm

There's been some pictures on facebook displaying a new Schon Guitar. I can't figure out how to copy here so help is needed.

I love the fact that Schon is so busy, creating new music and revitalizing the Schon guitar. Sounds like the guy keeps busy.

UCK!!! As I was typing this I had to listen to a commercial with a remake of DSB!! Well, Rock of Ages is coming to Chicago, but it surprised me.

He made an announcement that he was re-launching the Schon brand of guitar a few months ago, but I haven't heard a word about when they are going to be available.

I hope not either- I did see a few pictures of him somewhere on MR.com with the Schon guitar, so hopefully, it's just taking a while to get things up and going.

I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure that I've seen that picture before from a website that sells the leftover bodies from the original run back in the '80's- but, I could be wrong.

The guitars are going to be on display at NAMM in January- I guess that distribution is either set up or will be set up around that time frame. I have been wanting a Schon guitar since the mid 80's- might be time to sell my LP that I never play.

P.S. Neal- I'd like a yellow one with dual humbuckers-just sayin...

I would be surprised if Neal is actually bringing the Schon brand back...I'm thinking he probably has a new NS model coming out from PRS guitars, as he was playing PRS rather than his Les Paul NS models for his shows back in the spring.

The Schon model is being recreated. Looks like it is being done by Fernandes.

well, Fernandez has always made decent guitars, not the most top of the line, but good. they also manufacture the sustainer that Neal has always used, so Neal has a long history with them. The pictures i have seen look great, and i really hope they are affordable, as they are definitely next on my gear list.
