Not sure about Jeremey, but Deano has taken credit for things as far back as the wheel being invented.

In fact, the last one where Perry released his greatest hits (gimme a break, he released two solo albums!) I wouldn't touch and it seemed that he was just cashing in on all the latest Journey talk (or Sony was). It smelled like rip off to me.

My guess is that you are over-thinking that one. It was likely a contractual obligation for Perry to release 2 solo cds--the GH served as the 2nd cd. Same reason for the Greatest Hits Live cd. That gets Perry out of everything business-related and free to do whatever he wants to do.

Great news Andrew! I think this could be an interesting read if the author can find the right people to interview. There are people like Herbie and those who were around but are no longer affiliated with the band who didn't have to sign confidentiality agreements and can speak freely. Herbie has been very candid in interviews, so I can't see him holding back anything now. Hopefully there will be a lot of sources to balance the perspective.
