LOL. I don't think that even needs to be said on here. No one has ever disputed that on MR.

One of my favorite clips of Journey is that Patiently clip.

What a generally boring song. What it does at the end (soars) just can't make up for the insanely gay lyrics and lullaby beginning.

Yeah, and the guys are getting hammered for some of the lyrics on Eclipse. w/o Neals soaring guitar and some magic from Perry's vocal folds... this would be Air Supply.

LOL So true. I had to laugh also about dissecting the lyrics so far on Eclipse, because many of my favorite songs are beyond lacking from a lyrical standpoint. I just happen to love Steve Perry's vocals on them and Neal's beauitful guitar playing coming in to stop some of my favorite songs from being just plain sappy. Example, I'm Cryin'. I've played that song ad nauseum. And there's not much to the lyrics, but one of my favorite Journey songs.

You should be ashamed of yourself. This is their second best song!

Only he's the lead singer for Journey currently. Eat your heart our Russell Hitchcock

Perry goes through it like he is on prozac. Arnel sounds like a bull in a china shop.
Castronova sings it at a quick tempo and with clean vocals.
Deen wins.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that it blows. But it's probably my least favorite song on the Infinity album.

For me, "Can Do" holds that honor.

I love "Can Do." My only complaint with it would be how short it is. I think I'm in the minority when it comes to liking "Can Do?" I like the drums and guitar on it, and love the chorus. I love Perry and Rolie's voices blended together on it's chorus.

So Pure! This would be my favorite version of "Patiently". Never would've thought I'd hear it again, like then, when I saw him in concert in '79 (thanks internet!).
