Richie Sambora is in the Songwriters HOF. Perry/Schon/Cain aren't. See, it's all about the hooks when it comes to Journey music.

not that it matters much, but anyone who can turn out an album like Stranger in This Town deserves to be in the songwriters hall of fame. The follow-up wasn't half bad either.....and that's not counting what he has done with his day job.

Meh. I've seen far worse; most notably DragonForce.

Seriously, that band needs to work on their lyrics; "*insert epic words on adventure*, SO FAR AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY~" over and over again in EVERY SONG.

 Wasn't trying to claim that they wrote such lyrics. Merely making note that they are far from being the worst lyric writers of all time.

good point. Lyrics were always important for me, and why Toto never ranked extremely high on the favorite list, although they did have a few respectable moments. Lyrics for them most of the time seemed like an afterthought.

np: Cold Chisel - All For You....new song written by Don Walker (who is an EXCELLENT lyricist)

Lyrics don't matter to me unless they're really good (Springsteen, Seger etc) or really bad (some of Dream Theater's latest albums talking about killing monsters and shit... terrible).
