Journey's Greatest Hits jumps 85 spots on Billboard

Postby Don » Fri Mar 25, 2011 4:25 am

I'm going to assume this has something to do with all the Tour advertising I'm hearing on the radio. I haven't heard songs being promoted on TV or new usages of the music since Tron so I can't think of any other reason.

Question.....Does that mean we will hear something on the radio than the Dirty Dozen? Cause I have not heard one thing as of late.

Although I keep hearing just the dirty dozen as background music at stores, gas stations etc., It seems as If I'm hearing more of the Arnel versions lately. They never sound right to me. I would much rather hear new music featuring Arnel. That way I could judge them on their own merits and not always feel like there's something missing. I'm really looking forward to Eclipse & hoping they will finally produce something worthy of the Journey name that will allow Arnel to create his own legacy.

I'm trusting Andrew on this one that it will finally live up to my expectations. If it doesn't, well I'll be enjoying Black Country Communion 2 due out in June and hopefully going to see them when they return from the European portion of their tour later this summer because I know those guys will definitely rock. 8)

The Eclipse Tour now has its own Facebook page. Complete with what sounds like Drew's clip of City of Hope and the Arnel version of DSB:

Journey's Greatest Hits Jumps 85 spots to #70 this week. Will be interesting to see what happens next week, now that James has done his ode to DSB on Idol.

I wonder what the guys, the three songwriters, are making a year off this song. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Since these are last week's sales, I've been checking to see what bumped it up but haven't seen anything. Quite a few Greatest Hits Packages re-entered the chart this week so maybe there is some big discount going on at Amazon or iTunes.

DSB on AI the other night didn't hurt either.
