You're a dumb ass. There is nobody on the planet that can argue in good stat43 of mind that revelation is better than eclipse......no one!

Oi, look at when I started posting here, and then take a look when you joined. I already have a head start. Let's not start the name calling, because you will not be winning this battle :)

I may be a newbie here, but honestly I see steveo on here more often than I see you here Vladan. And while it's just my personal view, I always view a member's activity being more important than how long a member's been at a forum.

And on a side-note, having heard both albums in their entireties, I definitely think Eclipse is better than Revelation. But when it comes down to it, they're both two totally different animals, so to speak. Revelation is more about reliving the 80s Journey, while Eclipse is just about making a damn good album and considering the music it contains as art. In other words, Revelation is definitely the easier album to get into for casual fans, but Eclipse is the more rewarding album for those who consider music to be more than just catchy tunes and actually consider it to be a form of art. Your pick to prefer one or the other, but that's the reason why most of us are disagreeing with you on this issue.

If it suits his taste more that does not make him a dumb~ass and I don't even like Revelation ...Andrew said
this lp would scare some fans off ...loons!! I think it's going to scare off more than just loons!!

I'm seeing comparisons over and over to TBF. Some of those people making those
comparisons LOVE what they are hearing from this new LP, yet bashed TBF!! :? I am on
record as loving TBF, the musicianship was incredible, loved the vox and yes I love BILY!!
I'll be curious to see if I agree w/this comparison ...Vlad?!?

Thank you Michigan Girl, it's all good because unwarranted attacks make me laugh

OK back to the topic... well, TBF is great, but the reason it was great in my opinion was the fact it had the best lineup Journey has ever had. Schon, Valory, Perry, Smith, Cain... you cannot beat that lineup, and so a renunion albumswas gold from the get go. I'll have to listen to Eclipse some more but :)

Always consider the source. It just means they spend too much time here, I like to post here, but... I have a full time job, and music after work, too busy to be hanging on an internet forum. It makes me laugh, I've done my time here, if you want to stay normal, you need to come here every now and then... otherwise this place will mind f*k you.

In my opinion, of course

Was that you who said Arnels voice is fuller than Perry's?.

 Understandable. I actually haven't been posting all that much until a couple of days ago, but I do enjoy reading what others have to say. Plus, I'm a member at other forums so I'm more often over in those places than I am here.

But as for your view on this forum: I can honestly say that applies to just about any forum out there. Part of why I'm at so many of 'em is cause I just go to a different place to maintain my sanity.

As for Arnel VS Perry, yeah that was me who said Arnel's voice was fuller than Perry's. What I mean was that Arnel's voice sounds more "full-bodied" and masculine in comparison to Perry's more "nasally" and rather feminine voice. Sure, Perry sounded rather husky on Frontiers and albums after that, but on the whole, I consider Perry's voice to be thinner than Arnel's. Just my opinion, of course.

Ok yep, I think the word "thin"... when I think of thin, well I know i'm thinking... Hugo, and that is not a stick at Hugo, but thin means not loud, and less power... in singing terms, when you say thin, it means weak. Maybe it's higher you mean?, because Perry has more range and control, power than just about any Rock singer in history. Arnel will bow to Perry everytime, and he knows it too.

PS,
If Perry wasn't the singer he was, there would be no Journey... not the one we know anyway.
