Concert Souvenir Gathering Ethics

Postby hoagiepete » Fri May 27, 2011 7:30 am

As we enter this year's concert season, I have a question.

If two concert goers spot a pick, one is reaching down to pick it up, but before he/she gets it, another steps on it to protect it for themself, who has the rights to the pick?

a) the person almost grabbing it, or
b) the person that stepped on it.

Secondly, what should happen if person "a" starts to push person "b" off the pick?

a) Person getting pushed should politely let the other person have the pick
b) Person getting pushed should politely kick the other person's ass
c) Person getting pushed should politely give it up, but relentlessly shame the person doing the shoving (or vice versa)
d) Pick up the pick and cut it in half so both can have part of it

Shit, probably wrong forum.

Whoever overpowers everyone else gets the pick.

I don't have the answer, but I love these philosophical types of questions. If the guitar player throws a pick, and nobody is there to see it, will the pick still fall?

I say since neither one was fast enough to pick it up first, it's every man/woman for themselves.

Everything thrown, signed, or taped to the stage belongs to Crazy Deb , if she is in attendance. She may distribute her largesse to others as she deems appropriate. If you are under 6, played drums in high school band, or know the words to the obscure songs, you have a fair shot at getting something.

 :D
