Dream super group

Schon, Scholtz, Shaw, Blades, Castranovo. The group could be called "Schhh" or "Scho Scho Sha." :P

Can you imagine what killer music this band would make? Also, think about the covers they could do: Journey, Boston, Night Ranger, Styx.

Supergroups aren't what they are cracked up to be.....too many egos to actually survive. Think of them like that backetball team that has 2 or 3 guys that want to take ALL the shots.....there's limited space to flourish.

Not much different than what they make now. If Journey wanted to switch over to metal they could do it with their present lineup.
I'm sure 3 would have no problem with it.

I'm curious as to how you put Scholz into the mix? Nothing against him, just thought an interesting element to have. Anytime I try to put together a dream lineup supergroup I end up getting conflicted with my own choices

I was at the Gym listening to Boston, and realized how great Schon and Sholtz would compliment each other. Both very melodic, but Sholtz a bit stronger on rhythm, and Schon a bit stronger on lead. What a combo they would be.

Only problem there though would be that you would only get 1 release every 8 to 10 years with Scholz onboard. Scholz is also well known to be one complete asshole so it really wouldn't bode too well playing alongside another asshole

Richrath? That guy is more likely to drink his way out of a brown paper bag than play his way out of one

Hmm some pretty interesting combos there.

(4) Pretty darn heavy indeed.
(3) Three Canucks in that one. As long as Rik is singing somewhere in there too, and NOT Geddy.
(1) Have never heard of Mattias? :? Jeff sounds alot like EM, so I think it would sound somewhat similar to this w/Schon........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wUHmAcGZuQ

You may not be to far off as far as Group 1 goes - I had forgotten about that tune.. I do hear similarities between Eric and Jeff's voices, especially in their younger days. Typo - should have been Matthias Jabbs. Lead guitarist for the Scorpions since the early 80s.

I'll just take for granted that perhaps your busy routine has deprived you of being exposed to some absolutely terrific talent.

You you haven't heard of any of these guys? I am suspicious

Ill start you off with some Glen Drover and Tom Sharpe (Tom plays all instruments and is the sole composer)

IMO Eric has boatloads more soul, but really liked both their vocals back in the day, very similar tone/timbre. Love the Mechanical Resonance album. Just wish Jeff's voice had held up as well as E's. From the youtubes I've seen he's sounding pretty screechy nowadays, but then again those are youtubes. Saying that, I'd still like to see Tesla LIVE sometime.

Even though I don't care and quite frankly I don't know if it's fact about Neal's 5 alimony payments. But that would be the least of his worries after a Scholtz lawsuit. That prick sues everything and everybody. Not to mention the album would take minimum 8 years to record.
