Since a heard a killer tune shoved in between two turds (the lion king sounding intro and outro) I edited a version for OWNERS OF THE CD ONLY.

In my June 2nd review, I echoed those very same sentiments:

"One of the most powerful sweeping ballads I've ever heard. Just monstrous in every way. An operatic, emotional story with huge vocals and the band playing in complete unison. The music is so tightly intertwined that it seems like I could continue to listen to the song if it had 25 verses. Just a beautiful song. My lone gripe is that I don't like the intro or the outro. Cut off the bookends and you have a perfect song."

I could do without the final bookend (as SJ calls it), but I don't think either really detracts from the song in any significant way.

Nicely done. How do you edit songs like that? Is there a good free song editing program that anyone can recommend? Looking for one in which you can fade out and fade in songs.

Maybe cool edit is still free ? You have to look at the waveform of the song to see where things come in etc and edit it logically. There is a learning curve to doing this but really it isnt very often that to make a song listenable I have to edit parts out.. To me the intro and outro of the song sounds like a "sound resume" to Disney. It sounds so out of place on the album too. Way too whitebread for the rest of the cd.
