Nah, it's never been Journey's. The only time anything made sense is when Herbie was in charge.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

Dear Journey Community,

We will be closing the Community Page (NOT THE WEBSITE) at the end of August. We hope you have enjoyed hanging out on those pages. See you on the rest of the site, Facebook and Twitter!

Thank you,

Journeymusic.com

wonder if this affects reviews?

They've went and removed some of the concert reviews regarding setlist selection from the last shows. Apparently that section will still be there, you just have to tow the party line to keep your posts from being deleted.

I don't think you can leave a review unless you can login? If there is no member/community login, I don't see how you can leave a review? I must be missing something logical [logic was never my strong suit]

You got me on that one. Would be strange to turn that off in the middle of the concert run.

There were issues before with people posting blogs just slamming the band (which led to the shoutbox getting closed down) but for the last six months, nothing of that kind.
The only posts that may have caused concerns were the constant complaints about the sound form the overseas venues and the recent setlist question. If those type of posts are not tolerable, the band might as well withdraw from the internet altogether. Their facebook page is ten times worse but that primarily comes from inheriting a page that for all intents and purposes had been a classic Journey fan page before this year.

So they don't want a place where their fans can congregate and be honest with each other? At this point, I think they just need to take the good with the bad in terms of fan response...it's only natural.

Well, unless something major is about to happen. If so, they might just be doing a little cleanup before things explode/implode. :?:

Not only can you no longer leave a concert or album review, the ones submitted previously have all been removed.

Wow. I wonder if they have approached Andrew, asked him to shutdown this place? I wouldn't put it past them.

Album reviews are gone, pictures fans took and uploaded are there but if you go to see the profile of the person who took the photo it gives you a not found error. The wayback machine has some fully enabled stuff up to 7/25/2011 and the site has been archived by them 516 times since 10/18/2000 http://wayback.archive.org/web/*/http:/ ... ymusic.com Sad, really to lose all the stats and content. Oh well *shrugs*
