Another Special Journey Moment

I should have probably put this under the other thread, but decided it needed it's own! :D

I should have also added, this is from Journey's Eclipse Tour FB page.

That's really awesome. Good for them.

Great Pic with Augeri. No surprise that Steve would want to still have a civil relationship with the band.

Very cool. Never thought I'd see Neal with his arm around Steve A. again.

I agree. That's a keeper.

We should caption this picture for fun though.

Jon: "Hey, wasn't quite ready for the snap!".

Ross: "You gotta let me get my head in here!"

Deen: "Hey, I see butterflies!"

Steve: "They're going to smell that fart at any second!"

Neal: "How long is this gonna fuckin take?"

Arnel: "I'm running this bitch now!"
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

So the idea of Steve A joining them for concerts isn't as far-fetched as we might have thought

So, have a guy up there singing from an era the band has spent the last three years whitewashing. If Deen isn't allowed to sing because it "confuses the fans", why would you bring a guy up on stage who has never existed in the Journey universe to begin with (if you go by the last three TV interviews the band has done)?

Let's also not forget this wonderful blog from Rolling Stone a few years back.

Journey Vocalist Won't Stop Deceivin'

By Andy Greene
July 10, 2006 4:22 PM ET

In 1998, when Journey hired Steve Augeri to replace vocalist Steve Perry, they gave the former Gap employee a simple instruction: Sing exactly like Perry, which he managed to do with extraordinary precision. About a year ago, fans started to notice that, at every show, Augeri's vocals were identical down to the smallest detail from. One Journey fanatic documented this apparent lip-syncing in thoroughly dork-tastic detail, complete with audio clips. When a couple radio DJs picked up the story, Augeri seemingly sang live, with disastrously croaky, off-key results. Last week, Journey put out a press release claiming Augeri was suffering from an "acute throat infection" and would be replaced by former Yngwie Malmsteen sideman Jeff Scott Soto. For those keeping track, Soto will be Journey's fourth frontman....

Maybe it's best to let sleeping dogs lie.

It was a nice Kodak moment, that should be good enough.

Personally, I just don't think that any average fan knows or frankly cares about what happened at the end of the Augeri era. Diehards do and they are the only ones who know where to look for past blogs or comments or whatever. If nothing else, if there is a decent relationship going forward it opens the door to future possibilities with some of them working on a side project, possibly Augeri using something that was demo'd but not used for Journey, or whatever in the future without both camps despising each other like the Perry/Journey camps do.

Neal looks like he's from a wax museum.

And I love Deen, but enough with the guyliner and all the make-up

Hell of a thing, but out of all of them, Ross and Jon look the most natural.

Amyway, it's nice for them to be nice to SA after how they treated him.

Memo to Arnel............You're now the 3rd singer who is literally giving your voice to this band (they didn't give JSS enought time to or it would have happended). Please cover your ass and watch your back.

Dean: One big happy family bro!
Steve: Wonder if they'll let me sing next time?
Neal: Here go the rumors...again!!

I don't think SA would really want to do a guest spot with the band. Prolly think's this is Arnel's moment and he should have it.
