Not really about Debbie and SJ, as I know Deb is always a good sport as is JSS.
I just notice that most of the place goes up in arms when Dan critices some past band members while most also kill current members daily.

Both should be tolerated IMO, but it's obviously not the case. Not really about Andrew because he admits he can't police this place full time and I don't think he would if he COULD.

Not enough thorazine in the WORLD to keep this and the below forum sane all the time.

I never called you a groupie. Furthermore, my comments were speculative of what "people might think." Again, *you* were the one that decided to go down that path. It's not my fault it blew up in your face. You dished it out, now it's your turn to take it. If you don't want speculation into how people might perceive you, don't speculate how they might perceive me. This is simple, really.

Off to see Journey in Memphis tonight with a few friends. Adios and peace.

I speculated on your music choices, not you as a person........there's the difference. How can you compare my speculating you 'chose your music by stats' and questioning your 'Soto/Perry posting style'......to...... '14 yo groupie who only goes to shows for hugs and saliva catching, etc...' ?? Sure, both speculation, but IMO vastly different digs. Hell, I get razzed about my music choices all the time here.....I don't fight back with comments/speculations like that.

Enjoy the show. Peace.

Excellent point.

These are messageboards for and about the band. Surely, it's to be expected for the fans, pro and con, to be critiquing bandmembers, past and present...good or bad. Insults and mischaracterization directed toward and about another poster in debate to score points is not the same thing. You guys don't see anything wrong with that?

I'm not trying to be Ms. Policewoman. Just posting an opinion, like any other poster...FWIW.

I agree that it is normal to criticize any and all band members a little bit from time to time.

And I'm totally opposed to ANYONE picking on another forum member. I much prefer when everyone gets along!

I hope that nothing that I have posted in this thread was thought to have been taking sides between Dan and Deb's argument. I don't have anything against either one of them. They both seem like nice people from what I can tell.

When I said that JoePa made an excellent point, all I was saying was that he made an excellent point that there are certain musicians that people are allowed to bash over and over on here, and then other musicians that you better not bash, or else you'll be on a shit-list.

I can fully agree with and comply with forum rules. That is if I know what the rules are. There's way too much inconsistency on here. There seem to be different sets of rules for different people.

J/S, no worries, I didn't see you as taking sides. :)

LOL, Dan and I are usually good for at least one big blowout a year, which is fine as long as neither gets personal with insults (or 'speculations' as Dan seems to like that word better

Okay...I have to speak up again as JoePa seemed to have a problem with me and seemed to think I went crying to Andrew. For the record, I HAVE NEVER, AND WOULD NEVER, go to Andrew for anything happening on the forums. I don't even remember he & I exchanging any thoughts or words in all the years I have peruse these boards...openly or pm.

I simply posted and expressed my viewpoint. Do I like SJ attacking posters (including me) -- no. And I was saying so. No crying...just speaking out. What's wrong with that? That's what these boards embolden people to do, right?

I don't know why Andrew chose to jump in 2 days after my disagreeable post to SJ. For all intents and purposes, this thread was fading out...and I wish he should have just left it that way.

As I said, we are mostly strangers on these boards..posters & lurkers alike. Any insult or label put forth will cause a false assumption/misconception toward that person. That's all I'm saying. And I'm done.

Just to close this debate out and make sure we're all on the same page with what I meant, I'll explain this comment. I (usually) try to craft my words purposely and with acute intention. This comment is no different. I purposely used the age 14 as to not suggest any sort of "groupie" activity. How someone could be a "groupie" at 14 is beyond me. They'd have to get driven from show to show by their parents! Again, that age was specifically intended to make light of your exuberance at these shows. But not to be nasty or hurtful. If it was, then I apologize. But that was never the intent.
