Nice post...and thanks for doing it. I think what's really cool is that the guys on this tour are reading your forums, and considering the comments important. And I don't know where else this is being debated, but the fact that you got a call about it shows that MR.com is probably more relevant than some people realize. Good work!

Kelly called me at 3am this morning, quite upset that the PR person hired to do this job for him had taken some old quotes and banged out a new item for printing.
That person I am told by Kelly is no longer in such a role.

The comment did indeed come before Arnel and Kelly was saying to me, it came from a particularly bad interview where the interviewer had zero idea of Kelly's history before Foreigner and was being "an ass" about his credentials....hence his reply. Which has now been taken way out of context.

Journey are aware of the statement, management is aware, Kelly says he has been hanging with Arnel all tour and constantly giving him props about the great job he is doing. He is upset that anything could be made of this badly timed press release.

He may issue an updated statement himself, I am waiting to hear.

Kelly really seems to be humbled to step into Lou's shoes but he is definitely holding his own Touring w/Journey & Night Ranger is proving to be so successful for the band. Every single performance/interview I've seen with him - the guy has been holding his own and is truly a class-act!

I've been to hundreds of concerts and don't ever recall an opening act referring to it being their job to warm up the crowd. To have both bands do it at all three concerts this weekend seemed strange to me.

But then, I tend to over-code everything, so who knows?

Not true ...I'm distracted by the shiny objects ..."how long has that farris wheel
been there ?!?"
...and you grab the meat!!

You should have seen Mimi in Austin ... her bling had bling!

yeah. pretty much. life's too short to blend in. ;)
