I got bopped in the back of the head once. Don't think I saw them again after that.

  I gave you one, Lynn got one, AR, Donna, Ehwmatt and probably a few others.

I could make out just enough to tell it was Jukebox Hero they were performing but I honestly thought I got the ol' butt dial...

Thanks for thinking of me, and Happy Birthday! (from another September baby)

I've seen them do that at a bunch of shows now, even with Augeri. I think it makes for a fun time. Last show, some idiot started throwing the balls at the sound mixer and security took them all away. :(

it was a great night. ditto everything Dan said. :)

oh--'cept it was my bday the 29th so I asked the band to sing HB to me as I walked up for my pic--which they did. :) Deen gave me a stick as well but the %U^*(^#) 22 yr next to me reached over my head, elbowed me in the head and then stripped it out of my hand. oh well. Just to know that Deen came looking for me and intended it for me is good enough. :)

PS Many thanks to Crazy Deb, Hoagiepete, KCJourneyfan (and his great kids), Val, Rhonda and everyone else that made the night extra special. 8)

First of all, thanks goes to Dan. I gave him a call at about 5:45 the day of show and said I wouldn't be making it as I was buried at work. His description of how the evening was shaping up kept running through my head and I wasn't getting shit done so at 6:30, I said what the hell. One hour later I was at Starlight, buying a ticket from a scalper. Thanks to him...I made the show.

It came together well. The ticket was less than face, 2nd row in section right behind the Orchestra section (about 14 rows back total). Some nice folks around me so it was fun...albeit by myself.

Missed most of Night Ranger. Figure they would start early the night I show up late. Foreigner didn't seem to be quite as good as last time I saw them. Jones adds more than I realized. I'd like to have heard Can't Slow Down...that came off great when I last saw them. The running around in the crowd seems like a cheap way to get the fans fired up a bit. Having said that, Hansen is the best, without a doubt of the replacement singers, for their band.

Journey was solid. Good show, not great. Something seemed lacking, not sure what. I thought AP struggled a bit at times, but overall sounded good. Agree with may of the comments above. City of Hope isn't a very good concert song. It quieted the crowd, even I had to force myself to stay standing. The "Kansas" thing wasn't good considering much of the crowd was from Missouri and that was where we were., but I loved it being from Kansas.

Beachball thing was indeed a distraction. Those used to be for entertaining fans between bands, not for the opening song for the headliner. I got bonked a couple of times. First time I turned to see what knucklehead just hit me.

Good seeing Dan and KC and family. Sorry I missed the rest of you. Perfect evening for a concert and the venue was awesome.

so sorry i missed you!!

Agreed. City of Hope is not a crowd pleaser. There are better tunes on Eclipse
