Definitely one of the catchiest and most uplifting songs on Arrival. Not the best, but one of the better ones for sure

Thanks for correcting me...I shall now change my opinion.

Sorry, didn't realize that I had to explicitly point out that I was also just sharing my opinion. Thought that was quite implicit in my post.

I was trying to be funny...sorry I failed.

Great song. Top 5 of the post-Perry era for me. From the video, couldn't help but notice how much the guys have aged in the last nearly ten years. As well as the years, the road definitely takes a toll.

Arrival and Eclipse hold about the same enjoyment for me. Two very different feeling albums, but both very good.

Another fave from Arrival that doesn't get much credit or discussion is World Gone Wild

Just my opinion, but Revelation is good all the way through while Arrival has some filler on it. Higher Place, Live and Breathe, To Be Alive Again, World Gone Wild, and least but certainly not last We Will Meet Again easily match or surpass the best from Revelation however. Those are the songs that I think Journey should re-record for a future Walmart package release.

The high points on 'Arrival' are better than the high points on 'Revelation', but Rev flows much better. Too much wedding filler on 'Arrival.' 'Eclipse' flows much better too. Maybe Neal and Jon should re-do Arrival andf re-sequence it themselves.

Arrival is more elaborated and original album. It is Journey in 2001, as their sound and their musicianship grew from 80s, to 90s, to 2001.

Revelation is 'made' for making a hit record. You can 'hear' the effort Schon/Cain made in order to wrote something good and as close to the dirty dozen as possible. All songs have a direct link to a hit like no other post Perry record has. Doesn't mean they are bad songs, not at all, maybe their best post Perry songwriting effort, but for people who want some evolution and 'character' to the sound, Arrival is better.

Yes and no. Some Arrival material stretches the band's creative muscles ("Kiss Me Softly", "Live and Breathe",) but for the most part it sounds like typical Journey. Revelation def. sounds dated. Of their new stuff, only "Eclipse" tries to update the band's sound, with mixed results.

I agree. Arrival would have been much better without the filler, but even Neal admitted this. The sequence on Eclipse is unparelled! :D

Like TBF, Arrival loaded with too many songs (imo)...14or15...ergo, similar-sounding songs feel like fillers. 10-12 songs gives an album a fulfilling listen without it being a drag.
