I'll listen to it, but did he say anything about the current affairs of the band or the effect Neal and his blonde bimbo is having?

That was the first question out of the box.

Cool of him to mention SA and all the years he put in.

Nice interview. It was probably a good idea for the band to let Jonathan handle that one on his own. He is very diplomatic with his words.

Still, I miss the days when several members of the band would go down for the interview and actually mention the name of the album they are promoting. :D

Nicely done interview. Jonathan smoothed that over with class.

 If Journey is going to continue being "Neal's band" then I think one of the grown-ups, like Jonathan, should at least be allowed to drive from here on out.

Really a homerun interview because:

-he mentions how difficult it was to move on without Steve Perry, indirectly giving him props.

-he mentions all of the hard work that Steve Augeri put in.

-he skillfully makes the Schon/Salahi situation out to be nothing more than an everyday occurrence.

-he plugs the 200 million collective units the 3 bands have sold and tells the listeners what to expect at the show.

I'd really like to see Jon and Arnel collaborate on a solo project and write an album of ballads. Call Schon in when you're done and have him do the guitar work. Steve Smith on drums and Jack Blades on bass and as a co-writer. Reflections would make a nice album title.

That sounds dreadful.

Why? Turn Down The World Tonight, After All These Years and Tantra have all been great.

Ok, that's three great ballads spread over two albums. I don't want a whole album of ballads. If I wanted that, I'd listen to TBF or Arrival.

It's going to be in the same vein as 'Separate Ways (World's Apart)', 'Love Won't Wait (For a Divorce)'.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'
