Faithfully in "Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star"

Downloaded and watched the movie last night and was kinda surprised to hear Faithfully featured prominently in it towards the end. Not surprised to hear the song... surprised permission was given to use it in this raunch-fest. Definitely not one to take the kids to! The storyline of the movie is pretty vulgar and ridiculous which I would have thought would be an instant "NO!" But, then again, it is Sandler's project and he's been very favorable to Journey in all of his soundtracks.

I also couldn't believe that the band (Perry, especially) signed off for the song to be used in this. The reviews had me nervous, but Bucky Larson was funny as fuck. If you liked similarly panned classics like, Grandma's Boy or Freddy Got Fingered, see this now.

Yup. Definitely. It's one of those "it's so fucking stupid, it's funny" type of movies. I remember seeing Swardson on one of the late night talk shows promoting the flick when it was released and he was describing in-detail the situation when he pitched the idea for the movie to Sandler. He was saying that from the moment he started telling Sandler the premise of the movie he started panicking more and more with each word because Adam sat across the table from him, stoic and emotionless. Swardson stopped about halfway through his speech, sat there for about 3 seconds and got up and left the table because he was sure Sandler was going to A. Kick his ass for wasting his time, B. Blackball him for eternity from the movie biz, and C. Kick his ass again just to make sure Swardson got the message what a sick fuck he was. About the time Swardson reached the door of Sandler's "Happy Madison Productions" office, Sandler goes, "What the Hell are you doin'? You can't leave right in the middle of the story! Keep goin'. It was just gettin' good!"

I think it was on Fallon or Conan. I'll dig up that clip and post it. It's pretty funny.

Christina Ricci sure has turned out to be a hottie hasn't she? Not quite the transformation we all enjoyed with Alyssa Milano but still pretty fine nonetheless.
