Fans who caught Journey in concert with Foreigner last fall at Bridgestone Arena have the opportunity to get much closer to the “Any Way You Want It” singers Friday when the band plays a benefit concert for Franklin Road Academy at TPAC.

Jonathan Cain, keyboardist for the group, lives in Brentwood, and his 15-year-old twins attend the school.

“It’s a good place, and they’ve been really great to my kids,” Cain says. “It’s one of the reasons we moved here, really.”

But Cain says that’s where his promotion of the school stops. He says fans will get the standard 90-minute hit parade free of further requests for money.

“We’ll be doing everyone’s favorites, similar to what we did at Bridgestone,” he says. “There’ll be no propaganda. We’re not going to get up there and squeeze people for money.”

The Cain family moved to Middle Tennessee about 3½ years ago, and Cain says this is just one of the ways they are integrating themselves into the community. He’s also building a full-fledged commercial recording facility in Berry Hill.

“I thought it was time to make a footprint here,” Cain says. “I suppose that down the road we’ll do a Journey album here. It’s been a good move for me and my family.”

Journey will play TPAC’s Jackson Hall at 9 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $87.50-$152.50 and are available at www.tpac.org or by calling 615-782-4040.

Meh... it's your basic starter home. :P   G'dayumm!!! What a place! If you play the slideshow or just click through the images on your own, the place is very reminiscent of the home the Soprano's lived in on the show. Coincidence...?    And OMG that kitchen is the cat's tits!!! Yup, must be nice to have that kind of cheeze....!
HOWEVER..... If I had the $$ to buy that place, I'd immediately pay to change the name of the street. His address is 311 Granny White Pike  :P

Love that Deen still pays homage to Smitty in this song with the extra 1/8th.

Considering the dues he's paid, it is actually conservative digs. Shouldn't expect anything less than this for Jon. He's earned it.
He is truly the man behind much of Journey's music and others. He also eclipses the rest of the band in terms of class.

Ditto that! I'll add one thing though (and I'm sure G.I Jim can attest to the following...)

Growing up in the 70's and 80's with the gift and ability to play the piano/keyboards and play them well, (I'd like to thank my folks for their support... ) and not only being a fan of rock music but actually playing that music in various bands was an awesome thing. I was a Junior in High School in '80-'81. Being able to sit down at a piano anywhere on campus and start playing Open Arms, Faithfully, Patiently. etc. would instantly draw any females within earshot - and I did that a lot! Take that a step further and it's not too difficult to draw some pretty sweet assumptions from it. But, to make it perfectly clear, Jon Cain (and his ability to write the quintessential power ballad...) got me laid on more than one occasion. For years I said when the day came that I met him, I absolutely had to thank him for everything he had contributed to not only the world of rick music but to me individually via the example I just listed. And, when the day came, I told him exactly you just read, to which he laughed and replied, "Glad I could help! And ya know.... that's not the first time I've heard that exact story."

Definitely a great guy and has managed to keep the band grounded, focused, and returning to the venues across the country and around the world for one reason" The fans.
