I saw the movie and, as I mentioned in another thread, I went with the attitude that it was just going to be funny/cheesy and it was. If you go wanting great music and a wonderful story line, you'll be disappointed. If you go with low expectations you'll have a good time.

yeah, and I think that's why I loved the musical so much too! Lots of 80's references and innuendo you can almost miss if not listening closely. Even the shirts they wore in the musical were hilarious, so you should try to sit towards the front. I'm thinking some of those things would have given an R rating for a movie so maybe they were avoiding that? I just dont know. It was just what you said though, a great time! You can't go into a musical not expecting cheese and silliness. Sometimes lighthearted is a good thing!
