I bought a tv today ,an LG 47 inch LM6200 it is an edge lit LED smart tv 3d, wifi, comes with a magic remote? and 6 pairs of 3d glasses, i paid sub $750, anyone have any thoughts?

As long as you're asking this question here, among Journey fans, who will spend $1000 for VIP tickets for less than a 2 hour performance, I think you did great!

The bottom line: Are you happy with your purchase? If so, you did just fine. Don't second guess your decision. Just enjoy what you got!

Considering I paid $700 for a Samsung 46 inch standard LCD on Black Friday last year, I'd say you got a fantastic deal.

The next game changer will be when 4K TV's hit the market. Actually, the game changer will be when they have enough 4K content to support the home vid market. The TV's will be available before the content.

I actually paid sub $550 for this $536 out the door. Frys had some weird sale on a panasonic(with similar features) a couple weeks back for 499 but they only had a couple per store and i guess they decided to sell these Lg's because they had so few of the panasonics but they were all gone in the 1st day or so, somehow i convinced the manager to honor the price if they came back in stock because i copied a receipt i found on the internet that had the price of the LG tv on it which was $489. Walked in today no lines they had 1 left and i scooped it up.I wont be even opening it til next week. I didn't even need this as its my 4th tv but i couldn't let it go because the price was just ridiculous.I'll just get rid of the lcd in the bedroom, the bad thing is the lcd was just under a grand 3-4 years ago and i will be lucky to get $150 for it now since you can buy something similar (new) for $3-400.

You got a good deal. I paid $950 for that same LG TV back in August at Sams Club. I pretty satisfied with the tv, excellent picture quality and I really like the smart tv component.

You got a good deal. I paid $950 for that same LG TV back in August at Sams Club. I pretty satisfied with the tv, excellent picture quality and I really like the smart tv component.

Thats good to hear, i have another Lg that i use as my computer monitor and i really like it,i'm thrilled to get any name brand tv 47 inch for 500 bucks much less one that has all the goodies that this one comes with

On the TV, I think you did good. We bought a 65" Panasonic plasma a little over a year ago and that was over $3,000 at Best Buy/Magnolia and only got one pair of battery operated 3D glasses with it. Had to purchase additional pairs to have enough 3D glasses for the entire family.

Not sure how the other brand of 3D tv's are, but on the one I have, only a specific kind of 3D glasses will work and unfortunately and coincidentally, these specific type of 3D glasses are next to impossible to find anymore because Panasonic stopped manufacturing them, not even a year after releasing this specific plasma 3D tv. If this is still the case with the new 3D tv's, my advice would be to get a number of pairs just so you have them. What good is the 3D function when you don't have the glasses to go with it, if you know what I mean. And I can't see buying another TV not even two years later just because I no longer have the 3D glasses to utilize the 3D function of the tv.

I have been hearing from others some nightmare stories like this regarding the glasses, just ridiculous that you can't get the glasses anymore, others are saying the glasses are very expensive. my set comes with 6 pairs of glasses inside the box so i dont think i will need to worry about it. A couple of weeks back i tried to do a price match at best buy , they told me that what i wanted it for was less than they actually pay for the tv and that they would not be able to price match. Best buy has been very weakprice matching they come up with excuses everytime i go to get a price match, i never buy anything from them anymore, its all just to see what i will be getting for a lot less (somewhere else)when i go there.

Yeah, the type of glasses that my tv require are battery operated and they do cost over $100 a pair. The ones that come with other tv's such as with LG aren't the same design and cost much less. Blows that only a specific type of 3D glasses work on my specific plasma tv. I know someone who also bought an LG that came with six pairs of the 3D glasses and the person told me that they don't require batteries to work like the ones for my tv.
