Arnel Pineda reveals biopic in the works

MANILA, Philippines -- After the acclaimed documentary "Don’t Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey," Arnel Pineda, the Filipino frontman of the American rock band Journey, wants a full-length movie about his life.

"Gusto kong magawa siya as pelikula hindi lang documentary. Kasi may docu na. 'Yung gaganap, nahihirapan kami kasi puro gwapo artista natin. Gusto ko as realistic as possible 'yung actor, 'yung kuha talaga ang mukha ko. ...We will sit on it and think about it," he said.

Pineda revealed that investors have already expressed interest in producing the biopic.

"Mayroong dalawang investors na willing to do it. It will be released internationally kaya sana ay matuloy. I am crossing my fingers," he said.

Pineda also said he would like to see sexy actress Cristine Reyes play his wife in the movie.

"Kailangan chinita na maganda. Siguro Cristine Reyes medyo kahawig ng wife ko," he said.

Asked if his Journey bandmates will be part of the movie, Pineda said: "Hopefully mag-join sila kasi it will be meaningful to the movie kung sasali sila, especially Neal Schon kasi he is a very big part of the phenomenon. Kasi kung wala siya, wala ako sa Journey."

Last January, the documentary "Don’t Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey" received the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 24th Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Open to acting

In the interview, Pineda also admitted that he is open to do acting projects.

"Pumapasok sa isip ko kaya lang hindi ko alam kung saang kategorya ako mapupunta. Pero I would like to try po, paunti-unti po. Siguro kailangang mag-crash course muna ako doon. Mas gusto ko heavy, ma-drama or action drama, 'yung character actor talaga," he said.

Asked of his idols when it comes to acting, Pineda said: "Dito sa local, sila Christopher de Leon, si Jhong Hilario, I like his depth. Si Coco Martin, lalo na 'yung indie movies niya. Marami pa, si Piolo (Pascual) lalo na 'yung role niya sa 'Dekada (70s)'. Super dami at si Jericho (Rosales) sa role niya sa 'Baler.'"

If given a chance, he said he would like to have Anne Curtis or Dawn Zulueta as his leading lady.
Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

Neal doing Santana & solo stuff

Jon talking about his Nashville studio, producing and wanting to get in the Nashville Songwriters HOF

Arnel talking about a hiatus... and now this...

there's lotta talk lately from the main guys in Journey about things "not" Journey... seems they are laying the groundwork for an announcement.

Only to haters counting down the seconds that a non-Perry version of the band ceases to exist. What a bunch of spoiled little assholes this forum has become. So they're not recording an album or doing a dvd for Walmart at the moment. Big deal.

Funny thing is, Journey has existed longer without Perry, than with. I know that dope don't smoke well with some of ya, but it's a fact! The machine just keeps on runnin'

Grolsch and Heineken taste the same to me for some reason. The same thing with Guinness and Murphy's.

Grolsch, for some reason is more drinkable for me. I can put several of them away. Heineken loses it's appeal after about 3 of them, at least for me.

This article doesn't even make sense. Sounds like another load of Filipino tabloid bullshit to me.

You're the poster child for the new generation of ADHD-riddled amnesiac fan. Pull the magic markers out of your mouth, loosen your helmet strap a few clicks, and listen up - there is no "farewell announcement" coming. The band is doing better than they have in years. You have no insider knowledge, (except for what area of the body Perry likes to cum on and the speed at which he enjoys his balls toggled,)and are fooling precisely nobody. Dick.

:D Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

That's not funny, it's just a fact. What's also a fact, and perhaps you may find it funny, they were never more relevant than they were for that "fleeting moment" that they existed with Perry ...you know, as long as we're smoking the dope.

Perry's looong gone, Augeri's loong gone and JSS was just a blip in the night. TNC, do you really think there are still people who are just waiting for this Perryless band to fold? And say what? I told you so after almost 20 yrs.? Doesn't even sound like you. I'm getting the impression folks are just speculating, it's something to talk about ... :?
